Runescape used to be pretty good until Jagex got their heads stuck so far up their own asses that they decided to take everything that was fun and unique about their game and fire it out of a cannon.
The only "Good" MMO right now is World of Warcraft. The new Star Wars MMO looks promising, but then again they always LOOK promising.
I really hope some game company comes up with a new idea for a FUN MMO that's different from the heaps of grind-tastic money-pits out now.

Oh I suggest Aion Online, and Perfect World. I'm sure they have free private servers you can join and download the game from.
