I figured the new series deserves it's own hentai topic.

Those were two arcs making up one series. Nothing was resolved at the end of the Code Crown arc, the second picked up immediately from where first left off without any time lost.

In this one, there's a time skip of one year, everything was resolved at the end of the previous series, the animation is a bit different, the director is new, and both the Asahi site and Taiki himself at the end of episode 54 say it's a new series.
