“Those are the coordinates of every Digimon here,” explained Izzy, “That’s us right here, and that’s Datamon with Sora.”
“He needs quite a large amount of guards,” Tai said at last, gazing ay the pyramid, “It’s not going to be easy getting there, I tell you. We need a plan.”
“Alas, you realize that,” Joe kidded.
Sora was recalling the events in her head, as Datamon carried her further into the pyramid. The group had been lied to, as Sora waited for her doom.
“Sora, wake up!”
“Huh, Biyomon? How high am I?”
“Quite high, actually. Look down!” Sora peered into the fifty meters below her as she shrieked.
“Awake now, are we?” asked Datamon with a grin.
“Get me down!”
“I think I will.” Sora felt herself move downwards as the floor grew nearer.
“It’s a board on a wall!” Biyomon exclaimed.
“Very observant, young bird,” Datamon analyzed, typing at his keyboard, “You see, once I am through with your friend, I will finally destroy my enemy Etemon once and for all.”
“What do you plan on doing to me?” Sora asked as she observed the board she was on moving beneath a machine.
“The surprise lurks ahead!” Datamon taunted with an evil snicker.
“So are we ready?” Matt asked, “To execute this plan, I mean?”
“Sure we are,” Mimi replied energetically, “We spent all night going over this, right?”
“Easy for you to say,” said Joe, “You’ve got a fairly easy part!”
“Enough!” screamed Tai, “We’ve got to rescue Sora, remember?”
“He’s right,” Gabumon said, “Are you ready, Matt?”
“You bet I am! Digivolve!”
“Gabumon Digivolve to… Garurumon!”
“Tentomon Digivolve to… Kabuterimon!”
“Gomamon Digivolve to… Ikkakumon!”
“Good luck guys!” Mimi greeted, “You guys should go now!”
“Right,” acknowledged Joe. Izzy, Agumon and Tai got on Kabuterimon and prepared for the area to clear.
“Harpoon Torpedo!” A rocket burst into the sky as several Tyrannomon followed it to its owner. “We better lead ‘em off now, Joe!”
“Gotcha!” Ikkakumon fled from the red dinosaurs, as Garurumon entered the scene. “Looking for someone?” A blast of cold blue energy burst through his mouth as it froze the reptiles in its tracks.
“Yikes!” they yelled as they turned into ice. The remaining ones chased the running Digimon further into the desert.
“Do it!” yelled Matt with his might. Tai heard his signal as Kabuterimon fled them at the entrance of the pyramid, then Digidevolving into Tentomon.
“According to the map,” Izzy read, “the weak wall should be here.” He stepped through the wall that he pointed to, and Tai followed.
“Gazimon!” Tai exclaimed silently.
“Let me take care of them!” Agumon nodded. Tai agreed, but Izzy stopped them.
“We should first rule in stealth before wasting our energy,” Izzy reasoned, “we could go far into the pyramid without wasting any energy. It’s more efficient.” Tai empty-heartedly agreed, as they let the passing-by Digimon walk. They crept into the next hallway, where they met a gap in the wall. “There should be a ledge around the room.
“Do we have to do this the hard way?” complained Tai.
“Nope. Tentomon Digivolve to… Kabuterimon!”
“No!” Izzy yelled. The ceiling crashed in as Tai and Agumon used Kabuterimon as a stepping-stone to the ledge, but Izzy was more worried about Kabuterimon than Sora. He Digidevolved into Tentomon and flew, carrying Izzy with him.
“I knew you pests would come here eventually.”
“Etemon!” The two kids chorused.
“Right you are! Dark Network Concert Crash!”
“Agumon!” Tai yelled.
“I’m all over it! Agumon Digivolve to… Greymon!” The ceiling crashed in furthermore as the dinosaur entered the scene. “Nova Blast!”
“Haven’t you learned not to play with fire?” Etemon inquired, brushing the flames off him.
“Get going Izzy!” Tai shouted. Izzy took Tentomon and his computer further into the pyramid.
“What’s that?” Sora asked.
“Your friends seem to care for you,” Datamon informed, “they’ve broken in to save you, while some are even out there leading Etemon and his guards away. Foolish children, really.”
“We’ll see about that!” Sora exclaimed, “Digivolve Biyomon!”
“Nah,” Datamon dismissed, waving a warning finger, “looking for these?” In view were Sora’s crest and Digivice.
“Sorry to interrupt,” came a voice, “but you’re going to have to return those because playtime’s over!”
“Tentomon Digivolve to… Kabuterimon!” The insect Digimon charged at the pile of metal as Datamon held Kabuterimon, disabling him from charging him.
“You’re going to pay for that!” Sore yelled, “Digivolve!”
“Biyomon Digivolve to… Birdramon!”
“B-b-but how did y-you?” stammered Datamon. He glanced at the Digivice, and indeed it was gone.
“Better be quick next time,” Izzy smirked as he got on Birdramon.
“I think I will. Data Bomber!” Several light bombs crashed into Kabuterimon as he Digidevolved into Tentomon. He got on Birdramon as the crashed to the sand floor, and returned to their Sphinx area.
“We’d better help Tai and them,” Mimi deducted.
“Palmon Digivolve to… Togemon!”
“Tokomon Digivolve to… Patamon!”
“Let’s go!” TK yelled.
“Not yet,” Izzy replied, “we’ll save your Digimon for last. I’ll protect Mimi. You’ll stay with Sora.”
“Hi Sora!” TK added, happier of a safe friend. Sora smiled.
“Let’s go!” Kabuterimon flew above Togemon as the headed for Tai’s battle.
“Dark Network Concert Crash!”
“Nova Blast!” The two forces collided, sending Greymon down. “You better have more forces or else I’m gonna pummel you!”
“Needle Spray!” Etemon caught every one of them and threw them at Kabuterimon. The needles took him on full force as he Digidevolved into Tentomon, as Izzy and Tentomon fell into the rubble.

“You haven’t got the last of me!” Etemon yelled, falling into one of the basement floors of the pyramid.
“Good job!” Mimi congratulated, “Now let’s get Izzy!”
“I’ll round up the others,” Tai informed. Mimi nodded.
“I hope they’re all right,” TK murmured, “I mean, Tai and Matt’s groups.”
“Don’t worry,” Sora encouraged, putting TK an her lap, “I’m sure that they’ll be fine!”
“I hope so.”
“These Monochromon are unshakable!” Joe yelled. Matt raised an eyebrow. “As in, we can’t get rid of them!”
“Maybe this’ll help ‘em,” Ikkakumon suggested, “Heat Top!”
“Ouch!” Matt yelled as the desert sand became pretty hot. He swung himself on Garurumon as the sand burned up. The Monochromon burned their feet as they slowed down, caring more of their feet than chasing the kids. Gomamon and Joe got on Garurumon as they headed back to their area.
“We should be able to find him,” Lillymon encouraged as Mimi took some rubble off the pyramid.
“This isn’t exactly my thing,” Mimi complained, “but I’ll do it for the team.” At this she blushed, but Lillymon never noticed.
“If only I could blast the rocks away,” she deduced, “but that would mean another cave-in.”
“Maybe there’s another way in,” said Mimi, “let’s say the main entrance?”

“This collision blew off part of the pyramid’s wall,” Izzy observed, “If I could find my way out the main entrance, I could get out of here!”
“Sure, and while you do that, I’ll find another way out!” Tentomon buzzed into the distance as Izzy plugged the computer into a nearby outlet and tapped into the map.
After some considerable time (let’s say an hour), Izzy assembled the map together. He got up and prepared to leave when he was suddenly restrained. “Of course! The thing’s plugged in!” He memorized the map before unplugging the laptop.
