AUTHOR’S NOTE: This season is like a whole rewrite of Digimon. Almost nothing is the same as it is in the series, but of course there are things that have to be the same. The series begins with the Frontier gang (READ IT!!!), but progresses slowly into the other seasons.

Now a bit about the author: I’m Zakuyoe (ZAH-KOO-YO-EE); a name based on the two names Takuya and Zoe. You might think that those are my favorite characters, but they aren’t. I particularly like Tommy, Takuya and Zoe, but that’s not the point. I write stories for fun, and what better way to write than to contribute fiction to a website? That’s ‘write’, I’m talking about the Digiartist’s Domain: a theater for your Digimon needs! Well, anyways, read the story.

Chapter 42: The Rose Morning Star

“We should be nearing,” muttered KendoGarurumon as Koichi rode his back.

“How exactly do we plan on getting up there, anyways?” asked Calumon, “It’s a star!”

“Perhaps we can fly there,” suggested Neemon.

“Do me a favor and snap his waist belt for me, would ya, Koichi?”

“Sure thing, Koji.” Neemon’s cry filled the area as Calumon and Koichi laughed.

“I have a question for you, Koichi. In the real world, is mom all right? I mean, is she in good condition?”

“Yeah, she is. She probably thinks I’m gone too, just like you and father.”

“You know I haven’t left her. I just never knew that she was alive. Father told me she had died.” KendoGarurumon screeched to a halt. “It seems that we have arrived.” A broken path was before them, and it seemed that the star had crashed.

“Up there,” muttered Koichi as KendoGarurumon Slide Evolved into Lobomon, “you ready?”

“I’m all ready.”

“Execute Spirit Evolution… Lowemon!” The Digimon of Darkness joined his opposite brother as they scaled to the castle up above, Lobomon carrying Calumon, and Lowemon holding Neemon.

“This place is awfully odd,” muttered Lowemon as he opened the castle door. Lobomon took out his saber.

“Ancient Saber of Light!” His laser illuminated the room as a figure caught his eye immediately.

“O’er there!” The two ran to the figure as a ghostly Digimon met them.

“Oh my, that’s Bakemon!” yelled Neemon.

“Pathetic fool, I am Phantomon, stronger form of Bakemon.”

“Get out of our way!” yelled Lowemon, “Shadow Meteor!” A dark force exited his chest as it materialized Phantomon. Lowemon scanned the data as they opened the door. No light was needed here, as mirrors reflected it everywhere. In the center of the room was…

“Ophanimon!” The angel Digimon was suspended in the middle of the room as Lowemon shielded his eyes from the light, “I’ll save you!” Lobomon ran to the cage only to be reflected back at Lowemon.

“What’s wrong?” asked Lowemon.

“The cage…” stammered Lobomon, “There’s something that won’t let you touch it.

“They’re highly concentrated beams of light,” said Ophanimon, “And somehow I cannot escape them. Something is happening that I can’t find. Children, you must free me.”

“We’re on it!” Lobomon searched the room as he tried to find the source. “O’er there, Lowemon! There’s a mirror reflecting that light!”

“Shadow Meteor!” The Digimon sent dark force at the mirror, completely drowning the light from it. Lobomon was surprised to find one beam of light gone from her cage.

“I got it!” yelled Lobomon, “Destroy all the mirrors!” As soon as he said that, one of the room walls crashed in.

“Oh my!” yelled Neemon, “LadyDevimon!”

“Yes, hello children. I want to introduce you to a friend. Perhaps you’ve met him…” LadyDevimon stepped in for her guest to walk into the room. “His name is IceDevimon.”

“Acquainted.” The Digimon stepped into the room, “You’d better stop if I were you, ‘cause this won’t be pretty.” The room turned to ice as the light cages continued to shine. “The ice now reflects the light, and I assure you it will take much longer than it will when I’m through with you two.” IceDevimon breathed ice as Lobomon and Lowemon began to turn into ice crystals.

“Hey, this isn’t a good time to have a brain freeze!” yelled Neemon, “Do something!”

“I can’t!” yelled Lobomon before his mouth was covered in ice.

“I have an idea!” mumbled Lowemon. “Lowemon Slide Evolution… JagerLowemon!”

“Lobomon Slide Evolution… KendoGarurumon!” The two shattered their ice encasement. But quickly turned it to it again. KendoGarurumon returned to his human state as the cold took over him.

“Koji!” yelled JagerLowemon, “Lightning Sphere!” The two were protected from more cold as JagerLowemon broke from his casing. “JagerLowemon Slide Evolution… Lowemon!” The Digimon rushed to his twin brother. “K-Koji?”

“I’ll be fine,” muttered Koji before he blacked out.

“KOJI! Calumon’s head glowed a bright red as the beam hit Koji. His two Spirits emerged from his D-Tector as they formed in front of him.

“This can’t be!” yelled Lowemon, “Another Evolution?”

“EXECUTE!” yelled Koji, “FUSION EVOLUTION!” His two Spirits merged into him again as he glowed a bright white. “BEOWOLFMON!” The newly arisen Digimon got up and faced IceDevimon.

“What’s this?” asked LadyDevimon as she left the area, heading into another room.

“Beo Saber!” He slashed his sword at IceDevimon, causing his data to appear.

“I’ll get the data!” yelled Lowemon, “Take care of LadyDevimon!” BeoWolfmon rushed after the female Digimon as Lowemon turned to IceDevimon. “The chills go a little too far into mental illness? Fractal Code Digitize!” IceDevimon’s data was scanned as he turned to Ophanimon. “I’ll get you out soon, I promise.”

BeoWolfmon continued to chase LadyDevimon as LadyDevimon easily jumped from one platform to the next. “Coward, face me like a mon!”

“Fine at will.” LadyDevimon turned around in an instant as she kicked him at the face. BeoWolfmon backed down as LadyDevimon spread her wings. “Darkness Wave!” The load of bats attacked the wolf as he fought to get them off. “And so why was Myotismon so scared of these Warriors?”

“I’ll tell you why!” yelled BeoWolfmon as he swung his saber into the air. “Frozen Hunter!” A deadly wolf shot out of his blade as it chased LadyDevimon around the room. LadyDevimon kicked on a wall as it collided into a wall.

“You have got to do better than that, sweetie! I must tell you, a Gabumon could do better that that!” She sent another wave of darkness as BeoWolfmon swiped his sword to demolish it. “You better take me seriously before I stop trying to take it easy on you!”

“Look at all that light,” muttered Kari, “It’s like the place is falling apart.”

“We might want to help,” suggested Gatomon, “And if we are, I call in to the rescue party!”

“Fine,” yelled Takuya, whipping out his D-Tector, “Who’s coming?”

“Can’t just leave us behind, can ya?” muttered Tommy.

“EXECUTE BEAST SPIRIT EVOLUTION!”

“BurningGreymon!”

“EXECUTE SPIRIT EVOLUTION!”

“Kazemon!”

“Kumamon!”

“Gatomon Digivolve to… Angewomon!”

“Now head out!” yelled Patamon as the four left, “And make sure you come back…”

“Cleansing Light!” A barrage of missiles shot at the she-devil, and following came a beam of light. LadyDevimon shielded herself with her wings as it dispersed.

“Shadow Lance!” Her arm transformed into a lance as she struck. BeoWolfmon raised his sword to level the attack. He still reeled back from its blow.

“Will you ever give up?” asked the devil, “You know it is pretty much useless to fight you, so why don’t I rid you right now? Shadow…”

“Shadow Meteor!” The attack of darkness hit LadyDevimon from behind surprisingly, as she turned around.

“Should I deal with you, too?” An even greater voice, more deep in tone, drowned her own.

“LadyDevimon, withdraw. I have other plans.” LadyDevimon did as she was told.

“Come on,” muttered Lowemon to BeoWolfmon, “We have to free Ophanimon!”

“Fine.” The two headed to the large room, where the frozen mirrors were.

Finite. Short ending, I know, and no lemon here L. But, things are slowly getting exciting (I think), and I promise you there won’t be another ‘no lemon’ for a while.
