AUTHOR’S NOTE: This season is like a whole rewrite of the Season 4 of Digimon. Almost nothing is the same as it is in the series, but of course there are things that have to be the same. The first chapter takes place as soon as they arrive in the Digital World, but they don’t see Cerberumon. You might also wonder about the many villages, but they do have a purpose near the end of the series. I hope you enjoy the reading.

DISCLAIMER: Toei, Bandai, and any others I missed own Digimon, so no lawsuits. THIS FAN FIC CONTAINS EXPLICT CONTENT; SO IF YOU ARE UNDER 18, LEAVE!

CHAPTER NOTE: There are no sex scenes in this chapter :( so sorry

Chapter 18: Rescue of the Light

“It’s glad to have you back,” whispered TK.

“How’d you do it?” Yolei asked. TK shook his head.

“I didn’t do anything. Davis did it.”

“Thanks, Davis,” said Kari sweetly, planting a small kiss on his cheek. Davis’s face turned red with embarrassment. TK chuckled as he got on Aquilamon. “We have to find Koji, and I know just where Myotismon has kept him…”

“Now is when we must start our distraction, Arbormon.”

“Yeah, yeah, whatever, Puppetmon. I am merely an ignorant pawn into Cherubimon’s plan, and I don’t need orders from a cracked fool as you.”

“Ah, give me a break, Arbormon. I was the…”

“Shush, you childish piece of wood! They’re coming!” Aquilamon and Zephyrmon flew by as Puppetmon got out his hammer.

“PUPPET PUMMEL!!!”  Pellets of energy shot out of the many holes on Puppetmon’s mallet as they pelted Aquilamon. The bird Digimon crashed in a clearing of trees as Puppetmon headed them off.

“Keep here!” Arbormon yelled, but as he prepared to chase him, a bolt charge ran through him.

“Going somewhere?” asked a voice. MetalKabuterimon rolled behind Arbormon as he aimed his snout at the Digimon, “Electro Mortar!” With a quick aim, the tank Digimon fired his electrical energy at Arbormon, before he revealed a Spirit in his hand.

“Execute Slide Evolution!” The Digimon became surrounded with Data as the charge grew close, “Petaldramon!” With one swing of his tail, the charge was sent hurling into the air.

“Catch that!” MetalKabuterimon yelled.

“Crystal Freeze!” The ice encased the thunder, but it quickly broke itself.

“It’s not working!” yelled Zephyrmon as she dodged a massive barrage of energy pellets.

“Execute!” Kumamon yelled, “Slide Evolution… Korikakumon!” The Beast Digimon stood in front of the charge as his tentacles raised, “Frozen Arrowheads!” The tentacles wrapped around the charge, as it crushed the attack.

“Excellent!” MetalKabuterimon yelled before a river of leaves collided into him.

“Watch your opponent!” Petaldramon yelled, “Petal Watercourse!” Another stream of leaves slammed into MetalKabuterimon as he returned to his human state. “Next up?”

“Avalanche Axes!” Two hammers fell from the sky as Korikakumon caught them and tossed them furiously at Petaldramon.

“SLIDE EVOLUTION!” The Beast turned into his human form, Arbormon, “Roundhouse Punch!” His arms flung out of his body as they encircled the handles of the axes, and threw them back at Korikakumon. Within a few minutes, he was down, as Tommy lay limb on the ground. “ROUNDHOUSE KICK!”

“Lightning paw!” The champion Digimon struck at the cords connecting his arms to his body, as Arbormon reeled them in due to pain.

“Are you ready?” asked Kari. Yolei nodded, who was across the clearing.

“Aquilamon!”

“Gatomon!”

“DNA DIGIVOLVE TO… SYLPHIMON!” The half bird half cat Digimon flew above the chaotic battle as she let out a smirk. “Static Force!” The Digimon let out a force of electricity as it collided into Puppetmon and Arbormon.

“You’ll get it next time, bastards!” Puppetmon yelled.

“Idiots, if you don’t mind,” corrected Arbormon.

“No matter.”

“DNA Digivolving is a form of ancient Digivolving,” informed Bokomon as they crowded around a fire, “The first Digimon to experience this was Omnimon. Is it possible that others can do this?”

“Yes,” replied Kari, who was at the far right of their semi-circle, “We’ve seen Paildramon before, which is ExVeemon and Stingmon.”

“Stingmon?” questioned Takuya.

“Ken’s partner,” Yolei informed, “Unfortunately, he’s afraid of joining us because of what he did to the Digital World.”

“We already forgave him,” said TK glumly, “but he won’t take it.”

“I think we shouldn’t worry of him,” Cody dismissed, “We went this far without him…”

“You wouldn’t be saying that if you were the one that had to DNA Digivolve with him!” yelled Davis.

“Armadillomon can’t DNA Digivolve with anyone,” said Cody. Bokomon turned to his book.

“We should call it a night,” he informed.

Koji awoke the next morning in a new atmosphere. He was in crisp air, and the familiar scent of Myotismon’s lair was no longer in presence. He was also quite surprised to see two humans lying beside him. He was prepared to leave when a yellow fox teleported out of nowhere and into the space in front of him.

“As sleek as a fox,” the Digimon commented, “Leaves without a word, and stays awfully quiet. I have to congratulate you.”

“Who are you?” asked the curious boy.

“I am Renamon,” the fox introduced herself, “And I am not the Legendary Warrior,” she added as Koji surmised a frightened look. “I see you have no Digimon with you, unless you too are a Legendary Warrior?”

“I am,” Koji explained, “the Legendary Warrior of Light, and I am not in league of the others, neither of Cherubimon, if you must know.”

“Relax,” said Renamon, “You rush into action and doubt, as like a wolf to its prey. Of course, Lobomon is a wolf…” The Digimon made a gesture to the woods enclosing the area of their conversation, “Follow me. My partner is already near.” The fox jumped the tree branches above as Koji followed curiously, suddenly noticing a familiar presence of the Digimon elsewhere, yet unsure of where he had seen her.

Koji found himself at the heart of the forest, as Renamon jumped down in front of him. She walked cautiously through the woods, and soon jumped upwards again. Koji found himself in front of a girl with red hair. Must be a punk, Koji thought as he examined her outfit.

“You are awake,” said the girl, “I am Rika, the tamer of Renamon.” At this, she waved her hand above, “We must leave fast before Myotismon turns up, and we have yet no time to wake up the two bastards.” She jerked her head to the camp. “DIGIMODIFY! Digivolution Activate!”

“Renamon Digivolve to… Kyubimon!”

“Hop on!” Rika yelled as Koji swung onto the fox. Rika swung another card into her D-Arc as Kyubimon ran at a remarkable speed.

“They are in you’re area, Mercuremon,” reminded Cherubimon, “Be sure to give Machinedramon an equal share of the work.”

“Thou will not need help, but will continue to do your command, my lord.”

“We have to split up to find Koji,” said Takuya, “Let’s pair up, but remember to have at least one fighting Digimon with you.” So the pairs ended up being more than a pair, but still a group; as follows: TK/JP/Kari/Takuya/Yolei, Tommy/Davis, Zoe/Cody/Bokomon/Neemon.

“Why did we have to get Neemon?” Armadillomon asked.

Raidramon ran along the dusty roads until he approached a large city in front of them. After Digidevolving, Davis and Tommy searched the area, but found nothing. They had no idea that Koji and Rika were at the other side of the city, neither did they know of their presence being carefully watched by Mercuremon and Machinedramon.

“Thou don’t know of our scheme, does he?”

“Stop talking old English,” said Machinedramon, “I was made in the present, not from some crackpot historical past!” With a snap of his fingers, Mercuremon vanished.
