It was the typical day in the Digital World: Digimon wrecking havoc, and the Digidestined gang stopping them. A child among them named Ken started to get bored of it. “Wormon, I’m out of this routine!”

“But why, Ken?” asked his partner.

“Cause I said so.” With that he picked the bug up and walked away.

“Okay!” Shouted an energetic Davis, “Lets start!” At the end of each day they counted what they fixed, and every twenty points they would get a small prize. “I fixed up Primary Village.”

“That’s three points,” remarked Izzy, who was in charge of the scorekeeping, “which brings you to… hmm a four?”

“Hold up!” Yelled TK, “I dealt with Primary Village yesterday with Kari, right?”

“Ah… No.” Kari took a deep sigh, ”That was Mimi.”

“Right.”

“So then Davis is then still at a one.” The whole dozen of them (actually 11 because Ken left, yet no one knew it yet) laughed, and Davis joined with them.

After collecting the progress, Izzy announced the results, “It seems that only TK and Mimi need a prize.” He reached into the back pocket and pulled out a beautiful golden box. “Sorry, you don’t get the case, but you can have one thing in it! There’s watches, necklaces, wristbands, sunglasses, you know.”

“Really lame prizes,” commented Tai.

“That’s because their total score is only twenty-four.” Izzy reminded, “If they had, maybe three hundred, they could win a TV.”

“Like you could afford it,” whispered Joe.

In another segment of the Digital World, three teens were looking for their fellow friends.

“I hate this place,” Zoe complained, “The place smells like rotten fish stuffed in PE shoes that were left in a bottle of sour milk, and this forest looks disgusting!”

“Hey Zoe,” Takuya solicited, “are you positive you weren’t just describing yourself?” Zoe looked at Takuya with the most malicious grin and an evil stare before turning away. Meanwhile, about a few feet below their verbal fight, Tommy had small problems of their fighting. “Let’s just look for JP and Koji, okay?”

“Sure,” muttered Takuya lazily.

“Whatever, Tommy” garbled Zoe, anger still in her voice. Suddenly an explosion took place as Zoe lifted her head to see the view. “Yikes! Now not only does this place smell and look disgustingly ugly, but it has a fire in it!”

“How nice,” Takuya grunted, “Can we use you to put out the flame?”

“Why you little-“

“NOT THE TIME TO BE QUARRELING, DON’T YA THINK?” Tommy yelled with all the strength he could muster. Suddenly a projectile came furling at Takuya; he quickly Spirit Evolved and knocked it out of his way, and straight into Zoe’s path.

“How manly,” she shrieked sarcastically as she Spirit Evolved and blew the projectile back into the fire. She picked up Tommy and flew away, Takuya jumping from tree to tree, not far behind.

“I’m tired,” Davis yawned heavily, “I’m going to bed now.” With that, he swiveled on the log he was sitting on to find all of them already asleep, “Guess I’m doing lookout then.” Unexpectedly, he noticed a flying object in the sky. “Veemon help me look at that thing in the sky, will ya?” The little blue dragon peered into the sky, and suddenly moved slightly.

“It looks like a flying Digimon holding a child, Davis.” Suddenly the figure pointed at them. Veemon quickly turned into ExVeemon as he looked at the figure now sailing towards him, “let the battle begin.”

“There’s a campfire down there,” Zoe observed, “Maybe there’s a living thing using it?"

“Maybe they just want to-“

“Don’t go there, Takuya,” Zoe warned as Tommy gulped.

“Hey look,” Takuya yelled without warning, “There’s a kid sitting on a log!”

“Don’t try to trick me-“

“I’m serious, Zoe! Down there by that campfire, there’s a kid sitting on a log… there’s also a bunch of others asleep!”

“Let’s meet them!” Suddenly a large blue dragon appeared on the campus, clenching his fists and eyeing them.

“I think he thinks that we want to fight,” Tommy hypothesized.

“Then we can wait until tomorrow morning, when we can approach them as humans.”

“They’re gone…” ExVeemon Digidevolved into Veemon and fell flat on the ground.

“He does need rest…” Davis remarked as he, too, fell asleep on the log.
