The continuation of my on-going epic lemon, and the start of the third epic lemon. It takes place at the end of season two, and the Tamers where transported before the start of the Deva saga. For simplistic sakes, the young Izzy will now be referred to as Emperor Izzy. The alternate version of Matt Lillymon and Cody are Gamma-Matt, Epsilon-Lillymon, and Delta-Cody.   By the way, Bahumat X had discovered this little secret in End Game.  Congratulations. He had found my deepest buried secret. This is a lime.

END GAME:

FATED CIRCLE

Chapter 16

Future Predictions

          A few hours ago…

“Devimon, I have a favor to ask.” Emperor Izzy looked over his tall father. “Do you know anything of prophecies?”

“Yes…” Devimon scowled. “From the Dino ruins. One prophesied that the smallest digidestined would slay me. And he did.”

“And then there was the one about Myotismon taking Mega form.” Emperor Izzy nodded his head. “And it came true as well.”

“As did Apocalymon’s prophecy.” Devimon remembered the story well.

“And the prophecy which is most important for bringing me into existence. The one that foretold my powers and Ladydevimon’s escape into time.” Emperor Izzy typed on the computer, as the prophecy came on screen.

The fallen angel shall show herself
In the guise of a friend
The sky shall turn dark
And friends shall become foes
She shall then raise the defeated and destroyed
To take their revenge against the ones who banished them
To the state of none-being

The son of fallen angels
Shall reveal his power
To save a loved one
The chosen ones shall than be tempted by the dark side
To let their evil selves take control
Then the fallen one shall reveal herself
In her true form
And then we shall see friends reunited
With the writings from the past
Hidden under the cover of shame
To travel back to the past
And the writer of these prophecies shall be revealed
With the code of shame
The power of a child
The word of the lover
With the defeat of the fallen angel
By the true angels and the hidden heroes
Will banish the villains to another time
And release the apocalypse

“Annoying things these predictions.” Devimon replied, as he looked it over.

“Yes. But before I go, I want to have this tablet.” Emperor Izzy nodded.

“What for? The prophecy has come and gone.” Devimon replied.

“I do not believe so.” Emperor Izzy replied. “You see, I believe I met this so called Prophet.”

          Devimon raised an eyebrow. “Truly?”

“Yes. So I looked over this tablet. I believe… that it does not just refer to Ladydevimon's and my power.” Emperor Izzy replied. “I believe it refers to something else as well.”

“How can you say that?” Devimon bent down. “The prophecies show…”

“That is the thing about these prophecies.” Emperor Izzy interrupted.  “Riddles. Designed to give just enough information to keep us alert, but not enough to tell us what is going on.”

“Then my child, what does the prophecy mean?” Devimon asked.

“I believe… it refers to now.” Emperor Izzy read down the lines. “We just mistakenly believed it referred to only Ladydevimon at the time we found it. There are lines in it that did not make sense at the time. If we break it down…” Izzy began tracing his finger down the screen. “Look at these lines.”

And the writer of these prophecies shall be revealed
With the code of shame
The power of a child
The word of the lover

          “Yes?” Devimon replied.

“Do you not see? We have not seen the writer of these prophecies. Perhaps this entire fortune means something else.” Emperor Izzy scowled slightly. “And then we have this new character show up, named Prophet. It is too much of a coincidence.”

“So what is the plan?” Devimon asked with caution.

“Here is where Gennai lives.” Emperor Izzy pointed on a map. “Bring me the stone tablet on which this prophecy is carved. Oh, and while you are at it… kill Gennai and anyone there.”

Devimon was the perfect assassin. He could hide in shadows, and move silently anywhere. Gennai had no chance, since Emperor Izzy knew where Gennai lived. Devimon slipped silently into Gennai’s house under water. The fact the house was under gallons of churning water made no difference to him as he stepped into the dry house. He became aware of faint music as he entered the door. All the better to hide his approach. There he was, on an old chesterfield, wearing his long hooded cloak. Devimon decided it was not even worth it to warn Gennai. One quick strike would be all it would take. Devimon raised a hand, ready to end his life. Mozart music played from a scratched vinyl record as Devimon moved to kill.

“Ah, Devimon, won’t you have a seat?”

Devimon’s head snapped up. “Gennai?” There was now a second figure at the doorway to Gennai’s kitchen.

The young man stood in the doorway. “Will you not join me and my friend for some tea?” Gennai turned off the old turntable record player. “Ah, yes, Greensleeves- that is what you called it? A truly majestic piece.”

“Yes.” The hooded figure nodded. “It brings back memories of what I lost.”

Devimon looked back down at the hooded figure. “And who is my second victim?”

“My name is Prophet, Devimon.” Prophet kept his back turned to Devimon.

“Ah yes, Izzy mentioned you.” Devimon smiled. (Two birds with one stone.) He thought. “Then you should see what is coming next, Prophet.”  Devimon snarled. “You must know what I am here for.”

“I do, and I know what is gong to happen. We will have a calm discussion.” Prophet replied simply.

“Fool. I still do not know why you two breathe.” Devimon smirked.

Gennai sat the tea on the table as Prophet spoke. “We live because you have doubts.” Prophet replied. “You question this Izzy who claims to be your ideal son. You question what his plans are for you. You question your roll in the future. Am I not right?”

Devimon’s mouth hung open for a moment. “Yes. I do have questions. But these questions are not important enough for me to spare you.”

“True, but there is one more question.” Prophet replied as he poured himself a cup of tea.  “Why did you sacrifice yourself for Izzy? This world’s Izzy I mean.” Prophet took a sip of the tea.

“Yes, I have been meaning to ask about that Devimon.” Gennai took his own tea. “For one who always sought power, letting yourself be killed so the digidestined may live was kind of uncharacteristic.”

Devimon was all of a sudden back to four years ago. Ladydevimon, his former lover, had won. The Dark Masters were defeated. All the digidestined and digimon were chained to the wall like animals. Gatomon had been converted thanks to a black gear. Devimon was revived, and he now had all that he ever wanted. The Digital World now belonged only to him and Ladydevimon. But there was one glitch. One of the digidestined…was his son. Born when he and Ladydevimon traveled to earth in pseudo human forms. Not human, not digimon, but both. Left to be raised by the Izumi’s since he could not come with them, Devimon had given up hope of ever seeing him again. Then he returned... as his enemy. Devimon tried at length to convince Izzy to join him. And failed. Now he pleaded with Ladydevimon for Izzy’s life. Ladydevimon scowled and pointed her lance hand at Izzy. "He is merely a freak. He's not human or digimon. I gave him every opportunity to join us, and he foolishly refused." Ladydevimon turned her gaze back to Izzy. "Now he'll pay the price for his stupidity." Ladydevimon rushed forward and struck to kill.
Devimon saw the lance move almost in slow motion. Suddenly, Devimon realized this was wrong. Without even knowing it, he threw himself in front of Izzy. The lance went through him, Devimon feeling the pain as his second deletion began to fall upon him. Ladydevimon pulled her weapon out of Devimon’s chest. "You are a bigger fool than I thought, Devimon. A worthless sacrifice to this ungrateful brat."
Devimon in severe pain, stumbled backwards next to Izzy and TK who were chained up side by side. He was seconds away from deletion; he could feel it. He looked at Ladydevimon. "I was wrong. He's not a mere human. He is…my son."

Devimon stopped for a second. His hands slowly went to his side.  “He is…my son.” Devimon replied.

“Yes, even with your last ounce of strength, you freed the digidestined.” Prophet added a lump of sugar to his tea.

“Odd that a so called evil virus would sacrifice himself for a digidestined, even if it was his son.” Gennai replied. “Perhaps you are not as evil as you think.”

“I am a virus. It is my nature to destroy.” Devimon looked up.

“Wormon is a virus. Ogremon is a virus. The new arrival Guilmon is a virus.” Prophet sipped his tea. “Do not be so quick to place a label on yourself Devimon.”

“I will serve Emperor Izzy!” Devimon tried to sound confident.

“Serve?” Prophet placed his china cup on the table. “An odd word. Why did you choose it? Perhaps you fear this Emperor Izzy. And another thing, I do notice you call him Emperor Izzy. Why not simply Izzy? Is it because you do not see him as you son? Maybe it is the other Izzy, from this world, you see as your kin.”

Devimon looked around. (Who IS this Prophet?) Devimon’s mind screamed. (He knows me as well as I know myself. He knows about the two Izzys.) “I have not made up my mind. But I do know that Emperor Izzy will kill me if I fail.”

“True.” Gennai walked over to a file cabinet, and removed a stone tablet. “I believe this is what Emperor Izzy wants.”

Devimon looked in surprise as Gennai handed him the tablet, etched with faded writing. “You are giving this to me? Why?”

“It will become clear in time.” Prophet replied.

“I still have to kill you.” Devimon placed the table under his arm.

“No need. I have explained to Gennai why it is important for him not to interfere. And he has agreed.” Prophet nodded over at Gennai.

“So I will remain here. Emperor Izzy will not find out.” Gennai sat at the table.

“And how can I trust you?” Devimon snarled.

“Because you do.” Prophet replied. “You know my words are the truth. And I say now, Gennai will not interfere.”

Devimon looked around. (I could kill them now. It'd be simpler. No complications later…but…Prophet…knows things. Things no one should know.) Devimon looked at Gennai. “If I see you again, I will kill you.”  Devimon grabbed the tablet in front of him and stepped back, melting into the shadows.

Gennai sighed as he placed his teacup on the table. “I hope you know what you are doing.”

“I do. You do trust me? If you have any doubts...” Prophet removed his hood.

“None. I trust you old friend. But perhaps things can be different from what you say will happen. If what you tell me is true….” Gennai looked over Prophet. “Izzy will die.”

          “Yes.” Prophet sighed. “He will.”

And the continuation of my newest epic lemon, End Game: Fated Circle. A quick, (Very quick), summary of my first two epic lemons, which you need to read to get a lot of the plot. In the first epic lemon End Game: The first Ladydevimon, Piedmon's servant, faked her death and attacked the digidestined. We discover that Izzy is Ladydevimon and Devimon’s son, and has the power of a Mega digimon. The digidestined managed to defeat Ladydevimon, but she escaped in a time portal, formed using Gabumon's code hidden under his fur, Izzy's password prodigious, and Kari’s power.

In the second epic lemon End Game: Destiny's End: The six second generation of digidestined were ripped out of their time line by their D3's, into alternate reality. Ladydevimon had rewritten history, traveling back to when the original digidestined received their digivices, and then stealing them. Ladydevimon had a Council of Five working for, Piedmon, who was later killed and replaced with the alternate version of Gatomon, Myotismon, Matt, Cody, and Lillymon. It later turned out that Izzy was in charge not Ladydevimon, who still had his Mega digimon powers. He killed all the digidestined, except for Kari, Ken, and Sam (who was alive in this reality). They manage to escape back in time, using the same time portal, and stopped Ladydevimon from stealing the digivices, returning history to normal. But Izzy managed to escape, using a D3 to save himself. It's more in-depth than that, but that is the general idea. Any suggestions, plot ideas, comments, request, send them to mrredrover@hotmail.
