“These Wings of Mine”

This wings of mine,

They fly for ages.

Before they dine,

On once blank pages.

And then they go,

Take back the sky.

So Void of woe,

No reason why.

But then they come,

Come back for me.

And where they’re from,

A mystery.

Then lift me high,

Into the blue,

This wings of mine,

They envy you.

And up I go,

I won’t return,

And never know,

My next due turn.

I haven’t wept,

I always knew,

That as I slept,

How I once flew.

Don’t cry for me,

They’re wasted tears,

That I can’t see,

That stretch for years.

These wings of mine,

They fly for ages.

But cannot dine,

On long lost pages.
