[Note: This is the finale of my "The Hunt" series. Therefore you should turn

'BOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!' An enormous explosion took down several trees as the
digidestined scattered about, attempting to locate the cause of the madness.
As they searched they occasionally heard a low cackling sound coming from
the various shrubs and trees all around them.
"COME OUT AND FIGHT LIKE A MON!!!" shouted Veemon who thought these attacks
were quite cowardly.
"Oh but I'm not a MON, as you so crudely put it," said a voice from the
bushes on Veemon's left. Suddenly everyone saw the light in that area ripple
like water and the next thing they knew The Digimon Emperor was standing
before them.
"YOU!!!"
smiled, pushed a button on his
belt, and disappeared, leaving
blindly into a tree.
"Ha Ha Ha Ha, nice aim hotshot. Care to try again?" The Emperor had
reappeared 10 feet to the left
of the tree
charged again. Again The Emperor
pushed the button on his belt leaving
to run into yet another tree.
"FIGHT FAIR!!!" Biyomon shouted looking around.
"You want fair?" A voice cried from the trees, "Here!" An enormous blast
flew at Biyomon. She flew out of the way as the blast took down a tree
behind her. "You know.." The voice cried from somewhere in some bushes, "In
situations like this smart people run."
The digidestined looked at each other for a second than proceded to split
off in scatter into separate parts of the woods.
"Excellent." The Digimon Emperor grinned as he walked off into the woods,
"The hunt is on, ha ha Ha HA HA HA HA HAAAA," He laughed as he vanished into
the trees.
Cyan had ended up running along side TK but as she got further into the
woods she began to wonder, 'Why is he trying to kill them. I mean what did
they do to him, they've been nothing but nice to me.' As these thoughts
filled her mind she continued to run through the woods. A little further
into the woods the two came across a cave and quickly dove inside. As they
sat in the cave they heard footsteps and a few seconds later Gatomon and
Gabumon came charging into the cave, slamming head first into the two of
them.
"Gatomon! Gabumon!" TK whispered in relief, "At least we know you're okay."
"I can't believe this is happening," Gatomon shouted, "I'm a champion type I
should be out there fighting, not running and hiding like a rookie."
"HEY!" Gabumon cried nudging Gatomon.
"Sorry Gabumon," Gatomon muttered looking as though she didn't mean it.
"Look guys," TK said taking command of the situation, "We should probably
move further into the cave to avoid detection, if any of the others need our
help they'll contact us on their digivices. For now our priority is to
survive long enough to be of use to them when, and if, that time comes."
"Good idea TK," Gabumon smiled, "Matt would be proud of you for staying so
calm in this situation."
The two digidestined and two digimon moved far back into the cave,
unfortunately it got quite darker the further into the cave they went. They
decided to stop when they couldn't even see their own hands in front of
their faces.
*****************************Outside the cave*******************************
Everyone had been doing their best to avoid The Digimon Emperor but were
finding it difficult do to the mysterious belt he was wearing.
"There has to be a way to stop him," Tai growled, "We've beaten the best of
the best we can't go down at the hands of another kid like us!!!"
"I've got an idea!" Yolei cried, she ran up and whispered to Tai to tell
everyone to congregate together at the meeting place where she had saved
them from Hawkmon when he was being controlled by the Digimon Emperor. She
also said it would be best if they didn't use the digivices as the Digimon
Emperor might have tapped into their frequency. The two of them split up and
went running off to look for the others, occasionally avoiding one of the
Emperor's blasts.
************************Back in the Cave************************************
The lucky four who had managed to find, and hide, in the cave were starting
to wonder just how lucky they were. It was quite cramped, and dark, in the
cave and cause they couldn't see their own hands in front of their faces

reaching down and pushing the button on his belt. Nothing happened. "What
the?!?" The Emperor looked down and saw that his belt had been broken when
Yolei kicked him. As he lay there staring at the broken belt TK, Cyan,
Gatomon, and Gabumon walked into the clearing.
"Alright guys, you got him!" TK cried out running towards the group. When
they were all standing around talking about what to do with The Digimon
Emperor. The Emperor suddenly shouted.
"What did you f-fools do with Psymorphixmon?"
"Who?!?" Tai replied.
"Psy-psymorphixmon, the digimon I created and sent to destroy you what did
you do with her."
"Listen asshole we never ran into no Psymorphixmon."

Everyone turned and stared at Cyan who was now turning quite pale. They all
began to back away from her. She looked from Digidestined to digidestined
than she turned and looked into the eyes of her creator. She stared but said

"Of c-course..." The Emperor muttered weakly. "I t-told you to infiltrate
them s-so you became one of th-them. Br-Brilliant!" Then he smiled, glared
at the digidestined and said, "N-now Destroy them!"
Cyan turned to look at the digidestined all grouped together, still trying
to figure out what was going on. Then she turned and looked at her master,
half sitting on the ground half lying on it, still clutching himself in
agony.
"NO!" She said to The Digimon Emperor. "I will not destroy them!"
"HOW D-DARE YOU QUESTION MY ORDERS!!!" The Emperor shouted. "If y-you want
something done right, y-you have to d-do it your self." He quickly raised
his hand with the gauntlet and launched a small bullet shaped blast at
Yolei, "Say goodnight b-bitch!"
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Cyan shouted as she ran towards Yolei. She jumped in
front of Yolei, blocking her from harm. The energy bullet slammed into her
chest knocking her to the ground. Everyone crowded around Cyan, as she laid
there she began changing. she grew in height and her skin turned green, her
hair became long and purple. Her human clothes disappeared as a long black
cape grew out of her back, along with black boots and a red swimsuit.
Everyone stared in disbelief.
"Cyan?" Patamon asked looking at the particularly tall woman like digimon
before them.
"S-sorry I lied to you guys," She sputtered. "I wanna thank you though, if
not for you being so kind to me when you hardly knew me I might never have
broken away from that jerks control. Please tell Geckomon I'm sorry for
putting him under my controoo***."
Everyone sat for a moment as Cya...uhhh...Psymorphixmon disintegrated back
into the main program. They looked up once she was gone and found that The
Digimon Emperor had escaped. Together they all erected a crude grave marker
where Psymorphixmon had been lying, carved a message in it, and went on
their way.
The message on the marker read, 'Here died Psymorphixmon (aka: Cyan) While
we didn't know her for long she became a true friend to all of us and in the
end she gave her life so that her friends could live on. She came into this
world with hatred, but left with love, RIP.'
