Kouichi felt himself going numb as the descended into the freezing waters of the ocean. But despite this his chest felt like it was burning as it pleaded for air. He tried to move his and to feel his chest but he found he couldn't feel anything. He opened his eyes wearily but darkness seemed to creep in from the corners of his eyes as his head felt light. He vaguely registered something swimming towards him before the darkness overtook him.
As he slowly came through he registered he felt a cool stone surface below him. He smelled seaweed in the cool air, but he was grateful for any air at all. The numbness drained from his hand and he slowly moved it over the texture of a smooth wet rock at his side. He opened his eyes but found no light. He tried to move but felt pain throughout his body. He felt to tired to try anymore relaxed.
"Are you awake?" He heard a femae voice ask him. It sounded familiar but it couldn't put his fingers on it.
"ye" Kouichi managed to speak.
"Ya had be worried for a second. You really shouldn't swim so deep if you can't breath underwater." She said nonchalantly.
Swimming? Did she think he just went swimming? But he was too tired to argue it.
"Did you dive off of that boat I saw above you?" The voice asked.
"The others." Kouichi thought out loud.
"Oh! The rest of you guys are on it! Well I'll run tell them where you are! Don't go nowheres! Lala la la la!" She sang. He heard a splash of water and she was gone.

Tomoki awoke to a warm bed. He sat up and looked around the dim room lighten only by a hallway light shining through the door.
"Are you feeling okay?" He heard z
umi's voice ask. He turned to see her sitting in a chair against the wall opposite to the door.
"I..feel okay." The boy replied looking at himself. Memories of the battle plagued him little by little.
"Did I hurt Takuya and you?" Tomoki asked meekly.
"You lost control. It's okay." Izumi explained. After he didn't reply she stood up.
"I'll see about getting something for you to eat. Just rest in the meantime."
________________________ Above deck Takuya watched the sea as he navigated the ship. Thankfully most of the ice burgs began to melt soon after Tomoki took the Beast Spirit of Ice. Though the ship seemed to move slower after he took the Human Spirit of Fire, but he had figured out how to deploy the sails and use the wind to propel them. Takuya leaned back in the seat to rest but as soon as he had relaxed himself he felt the ship rock lightly sudenly followed by a splash on the deck.
"Helllooo!" He heard a cheerful voice call out. He jumped up to see a certain water nymph waving happily.
"Ranamon!?" He spat out shocked remembering the Evil Hybrids. Well she was purified. Maybe she won't be so bad. Takuya reminded himself.
"So this is where you've been?" Ranamon asked taking a look around the ship curiously.
"Well I just wanted to let you know I found Duskmon-chan in the water. I found an underwater cave to put him in." She explained.
"Duskmon? You mean Kouichi!?"
"Kouichi? I donno." She said putting a finger to her lips.
They heard footsteps as Izumi stepped onto the deck.
"Takuya-kun, I couldn't find the fo-" Izumi stopped as he saw Ranamon.
"Ranamon?" Izumi questioned out loud.
A look of annoyance crossed Ranamon's face. "WHAT ARE YOU STARING AT!?" Ranamon yelld
angrily.
"Who are you yelling at?" Izumi asked indignantly.
Ranamon only turned her head defiantly for an instant. She then turned back to Takuya and pointed out into the ocean. "The cave is about a quarter mile that away, bring this boat over there and I'll bring him up for you when he's ready." She said straining not to sound insulted. She leaped back into the ocean waves and descended back into the watery depths. [i]Why does that damn girl always try to make a fool of me!?[/i] Ranamon thought angrily.

Kouichi sat in the cave. His head had finally stopped throbbing and he felt well enough to stand but the utter darkness of this cave left him disoriented. His thoughts trailed back to his first time in the Digital World. The painful memories of Cherubimon ripping his life apart. But then again even before that he had never been able to help anyone out. He tried ut his mother always seemed weak despite his effort. Only after his adventures had she seemed better. Maybe having her meet Kouiji had done it. For a second he thought he saw a form in the darkness wielding two red swords ahead but it seemed gone a second later.
He heard a splash and wet foot prints behind him. He turned his head in the direction of of noise.
"Are you back?" He asked.
"Sure am!" She said energetically.
"You feeling better?"
"Yeah, I'm better now." Kouichi pulled his self to his feet to show it.
"Thanks for your help." He replied gratefully extending his hand.
"How could I now help out an old friend. Duskmon-chan!" She said shaking his hand with her own. He felt that it was not a normal hand.
"Duskmon!?" He gasped surprised.
"Huh? You are Duskmon, right?" She asked confused.
"No. At least not anymore. Ranamon." n
bsp;He stated remembering who she was now.
She stopped for a second to think of what to say next.
"Well you do look different. Not the silent as much." She tried to compliment. He put her hands on his shoulders from behind. "Let me help you relax." She asked. He was taken aback but submitted to it. He closed his eyes that were made useless by the darkness anyways. He sighed lightly as the tension was driven out of him by her hands.
"I think I like the new Dusk...Kouichi" Ranamon corrected herself.
"Umm...did you find the others?" He changed the subject.
"Oh yeah, the fire guy said they should be here about now. The water is warmer now. I should be able to swim you up no prob! I just hope that idiot doesn't ruin my day."
"She looked at me like I was a freak the second I got there. But lets get you back to the surface now." She offered changing the subject herself.
"How are we-" He was cut off by her wrapping her arms across his chest. His heart skipped a beat when he felt her soft breasts press against his back.
"Hold your breath." She instructed. With a leap she jumped with him into the water. He felt the current brushing past his face and thankfuly she was correct that it was much warmer now. He opened his eyes to see Swimmon passing by. As he began to feel his air running out he looked up to see the bottom of a ship. He felt her put an am under his leg to cradle him just as they burst through the surface of the water.
_________________ After having eaten Tomoki came above deck with Izumi wantig
to be there when Kouichci was brought up.
"Kouichi-kun is going to be alright?" Tomoki stated.
"Ranamon-san said he was okay." Takuya reassured puting a hand on Tomoki's shoulder. On cue Ranamon emerged from the ocean standing on a water spout holding Kouichi in her arms. Kouichi relished the moment to gasp for air. Ranamon leaped from her water tower and landed onto the ship. The others ran forward as she laid Kouichi onto the ship.
"Are you feeling okay?" Tomoki was the first one to ask.
"I think I'm fine. Thanks Ranamon." Kouichi said as he sat up feeling his wet hair drip onto himself. He proceeded to climb to his feet.
"You'd best get some dry cloathing on or you'll freeze." Izumi advised. He nodded.
"I brought a share change of cloaths I could loan you." Takuya offered. He and Kouichi went below.
"Um..Ranamon. I'm sorry about before.&nsp; I was just surprised to-" Izumi started.
"Oh Please! I know you! Don't hand me your lame apology!" Ranamon spat back and turned sharply and stormed off down the stairs as well leaving Izumi and Tomoki shocked.
Why is she so mad at me? Izumi pondered.
Ranamon found one of the ships washrooms and turned the shower on. She held her hand out and felt that the water was already warm. She disrobed and stepped into the shower. Leaning back against the shower wall she sighed and relaxed herself as the drops of water massaged her. Ever since being reborn she hadn't had a place to stay. She had just been surviving in the wild seas. She had missed the soothing effect of warm water sprinkling on her.

found it!" Takuya said loudly as he yanked out his spare bag of clothing he had brought along but misplaced. Kouichi was holding himself to try and keep warm but waited patiently.
"I'd take a warm shower to warm up. Theirs one right down the hall." Takuya handing the clothing to Koichi along with a towel.
Kouichi thanked him and walked down to the washroom. He turned on the lights and with some effort he pulled off his wet clothes despite how they stuck to him. He discarded them onto the floor and walked over to the shower. Just as he pulled on the door handle he registered that the shower was running. But it was to late because the door continued to open on it's own due to the rocking of the ship. Kouichi's eyes went wide thanks to the welcoming view of Ranamon. His eyes automatically locked onto her chest.
Ranamon opened her eyes out of her bliss as she heard the shower door bangagainst the wall. She got a view of his member just springing to life. I should have known.
