Izumi glanced around at the scenery around her. Was she back home in Italy? She heard foot steps approaching her from behind. She turned sharply to see who it was.

“Why did you never come back to see me?” Izumi heard her past friend from Italy ask.

“I-I wanted to. But I was-”

“Now I am lost, lost to the world.” The other girl replied. But before Izumi could utter an answer the scene vanished. Izumi awoke to a warm feeling beneath her. She saw some light leaking into the room through the blinds on the window. She was about to close her eyes again when she felt the object below her move just slightly. She pushed herself up to see what it was. She gasped lightly when she recognized that it was Takuya. She hastily pulled back and pulled the covers around herself feeling sudden embarrassment and shock overtake her.

On feeling a sudden draft Takuya reached to find the bed sheets but found they were not in grasp. He opened his eyes slowly and found Izumi.

“Stupid pervert!” Izumi yelled and slapped him on the cheek. She let out a shocked yell and sat up quickly.

“What was that for!?” Takuya demanded rubbing his cheek.

“What!? Well…” Izumi trailed off as the events of the last day came back to her.

“Never mind.” Was all she answered with.

Suddenly some foot step in the wall caught both of their attention. Takuya realized one of his parents must be up.

“You’ve got to go.” Takuya said quickly. Izumi nodded and took hold of her D-Scan. She slid out from the covers and Takuya’s gaze followed her as she walked to the window and opened it.

“Spirit Evolution.” She called as she summoned the spirit of wind to transform herself.

“Fairymon!”

The fairy took flight into the sunrise in the sky. Takuya kept looking out the window for a moment before he shut it and got ready for the day.

Later that day Takuya and Izumi called together as many of the others as he could reach. He gave a summary of their experience with Cyclomon.

“Does anyone know where Kouji and Junpei are?” Takuya asked.

“Kouji’s out on vacation with Father and his mother” Kouichi explained.

“Nobody was there when I tried Junpei’s apartment.” Tomoki informed.

“We can’t afford to wait. Those guys are searching for the spirits of the Legendary Warrior Ten.” Takuya insisted. They others agreed and they traveled to the underground station again. They were pleased to see Trailmon Kettle waiting for them, except for Kouichi who had never seen it before. Takuya ran up to the trailmon.

“Long time no see pal!” after a few pleasantries they boarded and it took off towards the Digital World.

“Where are we going?” Tomoki asked.

“To your ship.” The Trailmon answered as they emerged from the tunnel and over the Digital World.

“Our ship?” They asked in unison.

“Seraphimon instructed me to take you to Archelomon’s harbor, where he has a ship waiting for you.” The train explained.

The trailmon arrived by the harbor. It was filled with ships of all sorts with Digimon boarding and exiting the vessels. A light house towered over the place and their was a brick building for a business office.

The group walked by glancing at each ship until they came to an empty one. It was a wooden ship that looked antic. On top of the ships mast was a flag with the image of the Three Great Angel Digimon.

“This must be it guys! Let’s go!” Takuya shouted and dashed up the plank. Tomoki ran being him.

“Wait for me!”

When they got to the ships controls they saw it was not as out dated as it appeared. Next to the old fashion wooden steering wheel was buttons on a metal control consul. Takuya mashed the start button and they heard the engine roar to life.

“You guys ready for a cruise?” Takuya asked.

“You’ll make a great captain!” Tomoki complimented. Takuya smiled and pushed a leaver forward to make the ship move

The ship left the harbor and dared into the NetOcean of the Digital World.

The groups chatted for awhile getting caught up on what happened to each of them over the last year.

“It’s getting near lunch time.” Tomoki said.

“I hope Seraphimon put some food on this ship. Maybe we should check the lower decks” Kouichi advised. He and Tomoki proceeded below the deck. They same onto what appeared to be the engine room. The engine looked like a steam furnace in the center of the room. The two could feel the heat radiating from it making their faces sweat.

“Strange, it appears to need fire to run, but there are no boxes of coal here. What keeps the fire going?” Kouichi asked himself. After a moment of looking they left and after finding several crewmen cabins they found the kitchen. It had several cabinets of food, a refrigerator and a microwave. Through a large window into the next room they could see wooden tables nailed down where people were to sit to eat.

Back up on the deck Takuya continued to streer the ship strait ahead. He began to wonder where exactly they were suppose to be going. But what the heck, he just kept going.

“You sure seem to be on top of things today.” Izumi commented.

“Yeah.” He answered not making his eyes off the sea before him.

“Unlike last night.” Izumi continued.

“Wha?” Takuya stuttered as he thought back. He suddenly spun around to protest.

“I could have been on top if I wanted to!” He defended himself.

“You were helpless, but cute to. Especially when you saw Fairymon’s chest.” Izumi teased him.

“I could still could have been on top if I wanted to.” He said again turning back to the steering wheel. Out of the corner of his eyes he noticed a bleep heading towards them on the radar. He looked up and saw another ship approaching them. It’s mast held a classic flag of a skull with bones crossed behind it.

“What do you call those people who steal things on the sea again?” Takuya asked.

“What?” Izumi asked confused by the sudden change in subject.

“Sea bandits? No, that’s not it.” Takuya guessed.

“Pirates?” Izumi suggested.

“Yeah! That’s it!” Takuya said excitedly.

“Why?” Izumi asked. Suddenly they heard a bang and the splash of a cannon ball in the water near the ship was heard.

“That’s why.” Takuya said throwing the wheel to the right to turn the ship sharply. The pirate ship changed it’s course to pursue them. The pirate vessel began to gain on them.

“Curse those losers!” Takuya muttered in annoyance.

“Board them mates!” They heard a gruff voice call out. They heard the flops of wet feet invading their ship. The two ran out of the control room to see the intruders. They were yellow frog like creatures with leafs over their heads. Sticking out of their backs on each side was a stem with several long narrow leaves shaped into a fan. Their front feet were also short leaves.

Takuya took his D-Scan and looked into it but was greeted with only static. His hand squeezed it in annoyance.

“Do you think you can take these little guys?” Takuya asked looking to Izumi. She nodded and took out her D-Scan again.

“Spirit Evolution!” She called out.

“Fairymon!”

A few of the Frogmon leaped at her but she flew into the air causing them to crash into the ship. Takuya ran back into the control room and accelerated the ship to prevent more from getting on. A Frogmon leaped at Fairymon but she swiftly kicked it overboard.

“Leaf Wheel Cutter!” some of the Frogmon launched the sharp leaves on their back as weapons. Fairymon narrowly avoided them losing only a few strands of hair.

The door to the lower decks creaked open and Tomoki and Kouichi climbed out. They looked in dismay at the scene.

“What’s happened here?” Kouichi asked. Several of the Frogmon charged at them.

“Brezza Petalo!” Fairymon summoned her wind to blow the charging Frogmon away.

“These things are trying to take the ship. Take cover.”

The two ran to join Takuya in the control room. Takuya was having his own troubles trying to out maneuver the enemy ship. He saw it trying to suddenly speed up and pull up to the left of their ship so he turned right sharply. The other ship then followed behind them. A glimmer of light reflecting off something in the corner of his vision caught Takuya’s eye. He looked to see ice burgs floating to his right. He saw more of the ice to his left. Then Takuya eyes grew wide as he saw more in front of their path.

“Those guys….it was a trap.” Takuya muttered angrily. He reluctantly pushed the leaver forward bringing the ship to a full stop just before they would have collided with the ice burgs. They dashed back out to see how Fairymon was doing. She had sustained only minor scratches from the Frogmon. The other ship then pulled up behind them. Standing on it was a humanoid Digimon wearing a pirate hat, a blue button up coat and boots. For his right hand he had a hook and for his left hand he had a cannon.

The digimon leapt from the pirate ship to their ship.

“I am Hookmon of the deadly seas. I’ve been paid to recover something of great importance from this ship.

“Who do you think you are!?” Takuya demanded balling his hand into a fist.

“I own the seas and all who wander them will pay tribute to me.” The pirate answered.

Fairymon flew to attack.

“Doppio Perforare!” kicked at him knocking him into the wooden ships railings cracking it behind him. He slashed at her with his hook cutting her leg causing her to withdrawl.

“Captain Cannon!” He aimed his cannon and shot her down causing her to devolve back into Izumi and her data to be exposed. He others called out to her and ran to her side. Hookmon began to walk towards her slowly.

“Stop it! Haven’t you done enough!” Tomoki screamed.

“Shut it!” Hookmon kicked Tomoki overboard. Tomoki screamed and he landed into the cold water. Hookmon reminded him of those kids that had hit him before at school. And how he hated them. Tomoki kicked until he swam back to the surface of the water. He grabbed onto one of the ice burgs. It’s touch froze his hands but it was better then drowning. After his vision cleared he saw inside the ice a familiar spirit. It was the Beast Spirit of Ice. The ice cracked open and it flew towards him.

On the ship Takuya charged at Hookmon and tried to punch him but Hookmon wacked him with his cannon knocking him down. The ship rocked as Blizzarmon jumped onto it. Hookmon spun around to see the beast.

“What the devil!? Kill it!” the captain ordered.

“Leaf Wheel Cutter!” The Frogmon attacked but their leaves didn’t seem to hurt the snow beast.

“Blizzard!” Blizzarmon attacked freezing several of the Frogmon solid. He then began his charge at Hookmon. Hookmon raised his cannon.

“Captain Cannon!” He fired onto Blizzarmon causing the creature to growl in pain but it didn’t stop his charge. Blizzarmon jumped onto the air and landed on Hookmon crushing him under his foot. The floor below him cracked from the impact. Hookmon wrestled his cannon out from under Blizzarmon and aimed it up at the beast.

“Liquid Bullet!” He rapidly fired his cannon causing Blizzarmon with pull back from the pain. Hookmon slowly got to his feet groaning.

“Blizzard!” the snow beast breathed out more icey winds freezing Hookmon into a shell of ice.

“Glacier Torpedo” He extended his thick hair locks and grabbed the captain and tossed him into the sky.

“Avalanche Step!” Blizzarmon summoned his two axes and tossed them up at Hookmon shattering him into pieces.

Seeing this the Frogmon became fearful and retreated back to their ship. B

Takuya got to his feet slowly rubbing his throbbing head.

“Izumi?” he called weakly looking over to her. She already had her eyes open and was waiting for his glance while laying on the ground.

“You did good, Tomoki.” Kouichi complimented walking up to Blizzarmon. Blizzarmon turned to him and growled. Kouichi’s face registered concern.

“Tomoki?” He said worriedly extending his arm. Blizzarmon lashed out backhanding Kouichi causing him to fall over the side of the ship landing with a splash in the water.

“Kouichi! Tomoki, what’s wrong with you?” Takuya demanded.

“Avalanche Step!”

Blizzarmon called forth his axes again.

“Darn, he’s lost control, like I did.” Takuya said under his breath. He ran up to Blizzarmon.

“Tomoki. You have to get control of your beast spirit!” He shouted it. But to Blizzarmon it was only a war cry. He raised his axe and swong it down on Takuya. He missed by an inch but the floor already cracked gave way sending Takuya falling into the room below.

Takuya landed with a thud. He felt heat in the air around him. How can I show Tomoki how to control Blizzarmon? How did I control Vritramon? I can’t remember. Takuya thought to himself. But he was not the only one who heard it.

Takuya. We must free Tomoki from his own rage. A voice spoke to Takuya.

That voice. It’s you. Takuya smiled at hearing it again. He opened his eyes and saw the furnace to the engine burst open and the Human Spirit of Fire come towards him.

“Spirit Evolution!” Takuya exclaimed holding out his D-Scan.

“Agnimon!”

Agnimon stood it and looked up to hole that Takuya had fallen into. Agnimon leapt up landing back onto the deck. He saw that Izumi had already spirit evolved into Fairymon.

“Doppio Perforare!” she kicked at his shoulder. But the blows had little effect. With her last kick she made sure to propel herself away from Blizzarmon narrowly avoiding the swing of his axe.

Agnimon clutched his first and held it forward. The gantlet on that had breathed out fire as he prepared his attack.

“Fire Darts!” He called out using his free hand to throw the flames forward hitting Blizzarmon in the back. Blizzarmon growled turning around to face Agnimon.

“Tomoki, you must let go of the rage that your human mind holds, or else the beast will control you.” Agnimon pleaded.

“Blizzard!” The beast spirit of ice breathed out for blizzard winds. Agnimon jumped to avoid it and creates flames on the gauntlets on his hands and the braces on his legs.

“Salamander Break!” Agnimon flew towards Blizzarmon and threw a burning kick at his gut. Blizzarmon used the broad side of his axe as a shield and blocked the blow. It pushed Blizzarmon back a few inches bit with his nailed dug into the deck he didn’t lose balance. Blizzarmon thrust his axe forward to push Agnimon away.

“Glacier Torpedo!” Blizzarmon grabbed Agnimon with his hair and by throwing his head back tossed Agnimon into the air behind him. Fairymon flew in and intercepted him. She placed him gently back on the ground.

“Blizzarmon is strong. But if we attack together. It might be possible.” Agnimon explained. Fairymon nodded that she understood.

“Brezza Petalo!” Fairymon invoked the winds again. Blizzarmon dug his nails into the wooden ship to avoid being thrown of balance.

Agnimon called on fire within his gauntlants.

“Burning Salamander!” He threw his punches of flame into Fairymon’s wind creating a tornado of fire that washed over Blizzarmon. He howled in pain and collapsed reverting back to Tomoki.

Agnimon and Fairymon devolved back to Takuya and Izumi and ran forward to see how he was.

“I failed…I’m not strong like them.” Tomoki said weakly.

“It’s okay, your safe now” Takuya reassured him. Tomoki didn’t answer. Something else hit Takuya’s mind and he rushed to the side of the ship and looked across the ocean. He held his hands to his mouth and called out,

“Kouichi! Can you hear me!? Kouichi!” But to no avail.
