"Did you get the message too?" Junpei asked as Kouji exited the evoluator to the Trailmon Station. Kouji nodded.

"Takuya and the others must already be in the Digital World." Junpei continued as they boarded Trailmon Angler. After a short trip they arrived in Flame City. As the exited the Trailmon to be greeted by Bokomon and Neemon ran up to them.

"Kouji-han! Junpei-han!" Bokomon greeted them. Neemon was beind Bokomon looking as drowsy as always.

"Guys!" Junpei answered excited to see them again.

After a short chat Kouiji and Junpei learned of the others going to Archelomon's harbor. On arriving there they met a turtle Digimon with blades for it's front fins and spikes lining it's shell.
"Sorry, but you missed your teammates by just a bit." Archelomon apologized.
"They left before I could get up with them either. Shame too. I was suppose to tell them that the spirit of fire was in the ships furnace." He explained.

"That Takuya..." Junpei sighed.

"Was there a boy who looked like me?" Kouji asked quickly.

"Why yes." the sea turtle answered giving Kouji some releif.
"But by the way, one of Seraphimon's servents brought a message for the Chosen Children to meet him back at the Forest Terminal."
And so Junpei and Kouji found themselves on taking Trailmon Kettle to Seraphimon's palace. On arriving there they saw several Digimon gathered to inside the palace. Seraphimon stood in front of the crowd. Junpei and Kouji pushed their way through crowd of people. Seraphimon glanced to them.
"I see you've arrived at last. I was beginning to worry." Seraphimon greeted them. Although his voice didn't carry the same emotion that it did before.

"Why did you call us here?" Kouji got straight to the point.

"Recently, several nearby villages have been attacked. I've offered to let as many Digimon stay in here as possible. But, we only have so much food and room." the angel explained. After getting the locations of the assaulted villages the two went in search of what could have happened.

"So, who do you think these Digimon are?" Junpei asked out of curiosity.

"These could be the same Digimon that we were warned about." Kouji answer. They looked onto the village to see shattered ceilings and crushed buildings. Some residence were still living in the city however. They change to house cloth patches covering the roofs and logs propping the buildings up.
The two looked around awed by the devastation that plagued the village.

"Junpei!" Several metal bug Digimon called running over.

"It the Kokuwamon!" Junpei declared cherfully.

"We've found your spirit of thunder!" The machine insect opened a steel box containing the Human Spirit of Thunder. The spirit floated up. Junpei took out his D-Scan and the spirit flew into it. The symbol of thunder appeared on the Digivice's monitor.
"It's been a long time, Blitzmon." Junpei said softly.

As if on cue, the ground rubled. The Digimon population of the city began to flee widely.

Sooner then I was expecting. Junpei thought gather a ring of data on his hand.
"Spirit Evolution!"
"Blitzmon!"

"All right! I'm Blitzmon again!" he said exitedly.

"Junpei!" Kouji warned as a Golemon erupted from the ground. It lifted a rock and hurled it into a nearby building.

"Lightning Blitz!" Blitzmon threw a lightning bolt at the stone creature. The Golemon moaned and stumbled as it impacted. It turned to face Blitzmon opened it's mouth wide.
"Curse Crimson!" He spat out a wave of red energy. Blitzmon took to the sky to aviod it and gathered electricity on the beetle-like horn on his four head. He dove head on into the Golemon.
"Thunder Toppler!" He inpacted into the curainium of the Digimon causing the stone to begin to crack.
"Golem Punch!" The Golemon struck Blitzmon sending him skidding across the ground into the side of a building. With him out of site the Golemon turned back to the buildings and drove it's fist into one of them leaving a hole in the wall. Blitzmon pulled himself out of the rubble to see the mindless Digimon had already forgotten him. He spread his wings and took flight as he gathered another lightning blast on his horn. The Golemon turned back to him and opened it's mouth again,
"Curse Crimson!" It breathed out another wave of destructive energy but Blitzmon ducked below it flying only a foot off of the ground.
"Thunder Toppler!" Blitzmon impacted the golem in the chin causing it to fall over backwards and shatter before dissolving away into data. Blitzmon landed and devolved back into Junpei who gasped for breath. Why was that thing here? And why did it seem more intent on demolishing buildings then facing me? Or even chasing after the fleeing Digimon?

After a few hours the Digimon came out from hiding. Kouji and Junpei found themselves presented with a meal in the town hall. The building was small but welcoming and well decorated. The Digimon explained that the attacks had started a a few weeks ago.

"The attacks seemed to be coming from a metal fortress at the top of a nearby mountain, but it is protected by some sort of laser defense system. We can't get near it." One of the Kokuwamon concluded.

"We'll just have to go there and find out who's responsible." Junpei commented. Kouji nodded in agreement. After getting directions the two found themselves standing at the foot of the mountain.

Kouji took a step forward but a beam of light fired from the very top of the mountain impacted the ground only inches from Kouji's foot. Another beam fired just over his head.

"This is insane! They can shoot us from all the way up there!?" Junpei exclaimed.
The two jumped took cover behind a boulder.

"How are we going to fight them if we can't even see them?" Kouji thought out loud. The ground beneath them began to shake before it collapsed swallowing the two.
