How Ken And Miyako Became The Ichijoujis

Chapter 1

Will Living Together Work?

The sound of gunshots filled the afternoon air, as a long row of men stood at a firing range, each once armed with a side arm.

"Gentlemen! Single To The Shoulder! Ready! Fire!" A drill instructor yelled, standing behind the row of men.

The sound of gun shots filled the air again, as each man shot at his target. The drill instructor looked to the entrance and saw a young woman standing near the gate watching the men practice. He then picks up the whistle from around his neck and blew it loudly.

"Gentlemen! Hold your fire!" As he spoke the gun shots ended. "Ichijouji, you have a visitor!" The drill instructor yelled.

The man in lot 14 stepped outside from his lot and took off the ear muffs they were forced to wear at the firing range.

The man then quickly walked over to the drill instructor.

"Are you sure it's a visitor for me, Sir?"

"Yes Ichijouji. It's that woman Ms. Inoue, she must stop coming here during training," The instructor said.

"I'll tell her right away, Sir," He bowed his head quickly, letting his long hair totally hide his head.

"Ichijouji, you may have a day off from training today, so you can settle this. But make sure you are on time tomarrow and that Ms. Inoue does not interupt another one of my drills,"

"Oh, thank you, Sir! Thank you! Yes, I will be on time, and I will try to settle this," He bowed his head once again to the instructor, before he then ran towards the gate.

"Ken!" Miyako said cheerfully as he ran over to the gate. Ken opened the gate, and smiled as he stepped outside the firing range.

Miyako hugged him as Ken reclosed the gate.

"Miyako, I told you, you have to stop coming here every day. Instructor Unioshi is angry because you keep interupting the training," Ken said and wrapped his arms around her, returning the hug.

"Why do you have to be cop? What if you get shot? Or worse?" Miyako said and set her chin on his shoulder.

He smirked and kissed the side of her head. "First of all, not a cop a detective, and if you keep coming here, I wont even pass the training course,"

She sighed and let go of him. "Do you have to go back in for more training?" She asked looking up at him.

"No, Instructor Unioshi gave me a day off, should we get lunch?" He asked, placing his hands on her hips and smiled.

"Okay," she said, she then reached up and kissed him.

Ken sat at a table in a diner, across from him sat Miyako. Miyako brushed her hair back from the side of her face and sucked on the straw of her drink, finishing her soda.

"I was thinking Ken..." Miyako said and looked at him, a slight tone of red appeared in her cheeks as she looked at him.

"What about?" he asked and tossed two french fries into his mouth. He looked at her and saw her begin to blush deeply.

"Well Ken..." she took a french frie from his plate and looked away from him, trying to hid the look of embaressment on her face.

"Well Ken, I was thinking, well since you have such a big apartment, and I'm living in such a little dorm room with Hikari, that maybe I could, if it wasn't too much of a bother, well maybe, if you are alright with it, if I could,"

Ken smiled, knowing what she was trying to say, and laughed quietly seeing her hesitation, yet waiting for her to gain the courage to continue.

"Maybe you would, possibly, since we have been dating for so long, and, maybe you would let me move in with you?" She said her face turning to a deeper shade of red. She quickly then tossed the french frie into her mouth, hoping that he couldn't see her bright red cheeks .

He reached over to her and took her small hands into his and smiled. "Miyako, of course you can. I would love for you to live with me,"

Hikari sat on one of the bed's in the small college dorm room she and Miyako had been sharing for the past 8 months. She sighed loudly and a look of depression formed on her face, as she watched her best friend packing, getting ready to move to Ken's apartment.

"I'm going to miss having you around Miyako..." Hikari said sighing loudy, her hands set on her lap as she waiting for a reply, she looked down at the floor.

"Hikari, I'm going to miss you too, but I'll only be about 3 miles away," Miyako said and looked at Hikari, Miyako sat down on her bed, and looked at Hikari.

"But still... no more late night talks, no more party's, no more girl talk... I wont have anyone to talk to," Hikari sighed and raised her head to look at Miyako.

"We can still do those things, except our talks will have to be on the phone and less party's," Miyako stood up a closed the suitcase she had been packing.

"What if we just have Ken move in here?" Hikari sugessed.

Miyako laughed loudly. "I doubt he'd like that, living with the two of us. Actually he'd probaly love that, but I would kill him if he tried anything, even Ken and I just want to be together,"

Miyako turned and stood face to face with Hikari and smiled.

"I really am going to miss you Hikari," Miyako said quietly.

The two friends hugged each other, for a little while, Miyako could hear Hikari sniffle a few times, which soon almost made Miyako begin to cry also.

"It's been a great 8 months, living with you, Miyako," Hikari said, still not letting go of Miyako. Miyako could hear and feel Hikari crying softly.

They then heard the sound of the door opening, they then heard Ken and Daisuke's voices in the other room. They then heard Ken and Daisuke begin to pick up Miyako's stuff and take it to Ken's car.

Miyako then did something that startled Hikari, yet made Hikari calm down a small bit. Miyako kissed Hikari's neck softly.

Hikari blinked a few times, then pulled her head away from Miyako's shoulder, and stared deeply into her eyes.

"Miyako..." Hikari said quietly her eyes filled with tears once again.

Hikari then slightly leaned forward kissed Miyako's lips softly. The two girls shared one more kiss before hugging each other once last time, before letting go of each other.

There was then a knock on the bedroom door, and Daisuke's voice come from the other side of the door.

"Miyako, we have all of your stuff in the car, are you ready to go?" Daisuke asked.

Miyako stayed quiet for a few seconds, just looking into her best friend's eyes.

Miyako then whispered the words 'Goodbye'.

She then picked up her suitcase and walked passed Hikari and opened the door to the bedroom and left.

Hikari just stood silent for a few seconds and hugged herself, softly crying to herself.

Miyako sat on the bed of the guest bedroom of Ken's apartment.

She sat on the side near the nightstand, she held in her hands a picture of her and Hikari, during Miyako's birthday.

Hikari and Miyako had their hangs around each others waists, and Miyako held a small glass of wine in her hand while the Miyako smiled, and Hikari was laughing.

Miyako then jumped slightly as she felt Ken's hand touch her shoulder. She looked up and saw his face, smiling down at her.

He sat behind her and rubbed her shoulers softly.

"Are you going to be alright Miyako?" Ken asked quietly. "I know you miss her,"

Miyako made a small sobbing sound as tears then poured down her cheeks, she turned around and hugged Ken.

"Ken, why do I miss her so much?" Miyako said and buried her head into his chest.

"I don't know Miyako... but you have to calm down. Why dont you call her?" Ken said he rubbed Miyako's back softly as she continued to cry loudly.

Ken then felt her head moving up and down on his chest as she nodded, she then let go of him, and wiped her eyes, trying to stop her crying.

"K-Ken can you please get me something to eat?" She asked him, and looked into his eyes.

"We just ate about a half hour ago..." Ken said and kissed her forehead. "I know what you want... I'll leave you alone while you call..."

Ken then slowly got up off the bed and left the room.

Miyako sighed and reached over to the phone, she picked it up and dialed the dorm room number.

After a long time the ringing stopped and she heard Hikari.

"Hello?" Hikari said, her voice filled with sorrow.

"Hikari... it's me," Miyako said.

"Oh. How is everything there?"

"Fine... Hikari... I miss you already..."

"Miyako... This is hard for me to say... but, I love you..."

Miyako laid down and listened, in a slight state of shock.

"I love you too, Hikari," she answered, not beleiving that she acutally had said that.

The rest of the night, Miyako was pretty much normal, she would hug and kiss Ken for no aparent reason. And he would would do the same for her.

Ken lay on the couch in the living room of the apartment, a pillow proping his head up, as he watched the news.

"Ken,"

He blinked as he heard Miyako's voice, with out turning his attention from the television he answered her.

"What?"

"Well?" Ken heard her voice say.

"Well, what?" Ken said, still not taking his attention away from the Television.

"Ken Ichijouji! Will you please look at me?!" Miyako said loudly.

Ken sighed and looked over to the hallway, his eyes then buldged.

Miyako stood infront of the hallway, she stood with her arms crosses, a small tight pearl white bra, and a thin pearl white thong, letting the sides of her crotch be exposed.

She frowned slowly and tapped her foot angrly, due to the fact that Ken had waiting so long to look at her.

She then walked over to the couch as Ken sat up against the arm of the couch.

Miyako smirked and sat down near his feet, and sat Idian-style facing him.

"Do you like what you see Ken?" Miyako asked and quickered her eyebrow.

Ken watched her in disbeleive. He nodded quickly, unable to speak.

"Do you want me Ken?" She asked.

"Yes..." Ken said, breathlessly, he then sat up fully.

"Ken, if you promise to not take any my virginity till we are married, you can do what ever you want," she said a smiled.
