Hello again! Your friendly neighborhood psychopath, Epsilon, here to take you on another mystical adventure of wonder and worry. I realize there was no sex in the last one. “But Epsilon, isn’t this a lemon?” True! However, I need to work some of the story through first. What good is just rampart sex without a decent story line? I know how much you all love reading as well ^ ^. Enjoy the second installment all!

Dark Intentions, Scattered Truths

(If you are Red Rover, I love you!)

This should be easy, nothing more than an armored truck and a few guards. I hope they are not carrying anything big like last time. We do not need another night in the infirmary. Well, it is time to move out.

-------------------------------------- Another day, another penny-----------------------------------

I checked my watch to figure only ten minutes before the arrival.

“Ready everyone?” I announced.

They all saluted half-heartedly and we set for position of departure. This was going to be a horrid morning for these guards. Truly, who would expect my team to show up to steal some fossilized eggs? Diamonds, you can expect us, gold will draw us like sharks to blood, and if you have a big mouth, we will gladly shut it for you. Now we are stealing eggs, for three dollars I could have bought a dozen. I thought long and strong as to her intentions with these objects and why she needed to hire us. Still, no answer came to me. A rather shiny, armor-plated truck slowly crept up to the building. We waited with curiosity as to when they would be unloaded. First came a golden tomb of Tutankhamen or King Tut for short. We agreed to come back for that but Eplex denied this by explaining the curse of King Tut, superstitious freak. The next lovely item were some jewels deemed “priceless”, I bet I could make a few million off of them. After many spectacular treasures that were ripe for the picking, our box of tender began its way down the ramp. I nodded to the twins who instinctively throw knives around the two carriers. The men stopped and spied out a shadow figure on the roof. They looked over to the nearby radio when a bullet whizzed through the air. Eplex slowly walked out from his hiding place and laughed.

“I don’t think ya’ll want to do that now” Eplex smirked.

One man stepped forward, “B-by order of t-the police” he chocked, “Y-you are all under a-arrest.”

Eplex stopped for a moment, “Then I’ll go quietly” he placed his hands over his head.

I was trying very hard not to laugh and stay concealed, but this act was too much! The two guards cautiously approach Eplex and it took one man to hold one of Eplex’s arms. They lead him too the truck and but a pair of handcuffs on him.

“Ya got me” he sobbed, “Can ask ya a question though?”

“You have your rights” one guard began, “And you can remain silent.”

Eplex laughed, “That ain’t my question, I was wondering if ya got something to eat. I’d love some eggs right ‘bout now”

The guards glanced to the crate on the ramp and before they could turn back to Eplex, he had snapped the cuffs, put both men in a headlock, and crushed the radio with his foot. I slowly moved out of the shadows and up to the box. The crate was small and easy to open, so I did not need a crowbar. We all stood in horror around the box, a small, green device lay ticking at the bottom.

“Get out of the way!” I shouted as the box erupted.

Small shards of metal flew from either side as the grenade set off. I turned and looked at the two men sharply.

“Who put you up to this?” I demanded

The two men hung silently for a few moments, so I reached for my weapon. I held it close to his throat and asked the other one my question.

“I will kill your friend if you do not answer! Can you live with the fact that you are the cause of his death!?” I shouted

The first man began to cry as the sharp metal came closer to his skin. I placed the tip against his skin where the slightest pressure could send it through. I told him once more to show us the eggs. The second man started to sweat and Eplex released him. He went to the back of the truck and slowly bent down. He began to open a box and then quickly jumped up and fired his gun at me. I swiftly pulled his friend from Eplex and used him as a shield.

“Really now?” I laughed casting aside the dead body, “You think one grenade and one handgun will stop me?”

The man fell to the floor crying and begging me to spare him. He started to pull on my pants and begged for his actions. I kicked his face and he landed backward a bit.

“Tell me who did this and you will not end up like this one” I calmly announced.

He sniveled for a minute then began, “It was devour, she said she would kill my wife if I didn’t get rid of you. She only wants you dead, I don’t know why, please don’t hurt my wife! We were just married yesterday!” he pleaded at my feet once more.

I turned to man, “Lets take what we can and be on our way. I’ll let you live for now, but cross me again and I will wear your skin!”

We grabbed about twelve crates and loaded my car. The sun was just peaking through the sky as we drove back to my room. What a bitch that Devour is, I knew this seemed wrong. I will personally kill her when I have time, for now though, we need to see what we have. It was only a short drive to my place, which seemed worse due to Eplex’s rabble and the twins arguing about whom the men were most afraid of. We began unloading the car when the landlady stepped up.

“So, Fredrick” she cackled, “You have the money this month?”

“Soon Ms., I promise you that I will give it in full” I had forgotten to pay for last month.

She spied out the others in the car and said, “You better not have one of those parties you kids have these days! All the racket and music about buttocks, in my day we listened to good music…” She trailed off.

I walked up stairs with a few crates in hand and popped the lock on the door. My room was clean for one reason or another it still smelled like old strawberries. We placed the crates on the floor and began to open them one by one. The first housed rather old swords that could fetch a pretty price to some collectors. Other boxes had minuscule jewels and coins from gold to copper. The last box we opened had the most peculiar of all items. A single stone tablet that had glyphs on it. It showed some odd creature pitted against another very odd creature and one human behind each creature. The tablet felt different, almost as if it was drawing me to it. I studied it for some time before Epsine had come up with a total profit.

She sighed, “These things are only worth a quarter-mill.”

We all sighed heavily at this waste of time and began to pack it all into one crate for easy shipping. I placed the stone tablet separate from all of the junk, I wanted to keep that. Ependar was good friends with some underground executives and he could have this all sold by midnight if he played his cards right. I gave him the box and bid all ado, I was still tired as hell. Epsine pestered me more about having a little fun before leaving. I could hardly keep my eyes open told her I would be useless. She heaved a sigh and strolled out, making sure to slamming the door behind her. It was an awful morning, nothing but sun and quite remorse. I hate the heat and it seems to get hotter everyday, maybe I was just experiencing what my mother had once called hell. An extremely hot place where a large red satyr awaited damned souls. Bah, nothing but feary tales and nonsense, the only evil thing in this world was the people. I took my mind off that thought and switched back to the stone tablet. I studied it carefully and noticed something shinning in the center. It was not the sun, or a miraculous light rather it was something else. I could not make it out but I could feel it. It felt warm and it was friendly to the touch. Such a sensation I cannot quite describe. I turned the tablet over and looked carefully at it, it had some words, though I could not read them, and what looked like an indentation of a hand. I placed my hand in the grove and the tablet shattered. I jumped off my bed in awe. How did the stone just shatter like that? It was as if I punched through a thin piece of glass. The rubble uncovered something more however; it was an orangish color and had three small buttons along the side. A small screen in the middle completed this object and I noticed one stranger thing. It looked very much my childhood toy called a Digivice. I stopped being a child at ten years of age, it happens when a boy finds the body of his parents slaughtered outside his bedroom. This took me back to my childish years though, my old toys and my old games. I had a Digivice, everyone did, it was the hottest thing at the time. Somehow, the thing I held had the same attributes. Impossible I thought, this just could not be the same thing. It is made of stone but it was like the modern day toys. I became increasing lost in thought as to what I found and how it got here. Was it meant for me? Should I continue fiddling with it? So many questions, but so little time. I decided to take action and hit the buttons a few times. At first, it was nothing and then came a light. It was small and dim but a light nonetheless. After a few moments, a small rather distant voice called out. It was gibberish and nothing seemed to be there. All at once, my skin had extra tension and my body became heavy. Too heavy to escape whatever was happening now and I felt a tug at my entire being. The device began to get bigger and bigger, all the while I was being pulled. I was scared, I will say that much, this morning was going to be different.

To be continued…
