Chapter 2. 
"There it is! Spiral mountain!"

        "There it is guys spiral mountain!" Shouted Tai pointing at the formidable mountain
consisting of practically everything in the entire digital world. When the group had first 
arrived at the digital world after defeating Venomyotismon they had landed in one of the forests 
at the base of it. Surprisingly enough they had not been able to really see it until they had 
left the forest. Now on one of the many cliffs surrounding a lake taken from File Island they 
had a clear view of it, along with a giant castle that was situated at its peak.
        Izzy blinked, "Wow, you could set an antennae on top of that thing and catch TV 
channels from all over the world!"
        Tentamon looked down at him from the tree branch he was on, "How could placing your 
antennae on top of that thingy help you watch TV?"
        "Not that type of antennae, Tentamon."
        "Oh, well then that explains it then!"
        The group laughed a little bit, but then turned back to the overshadowing mountain. 
Sora was the first one to break the silence that followed, "So.......... Anyone know how were 
going to climb that? It's pretty obvious that whoever's doing this is probably at the top in 
that giant castle."
        "We could always mail are self's!" said Tai.
        "Somehow I don't think that would be a wise idea Tai, even if we could find a mailbox 
around here." Said Matt stuffing his hands into his pockets.
        There was another silence as the digidestined thought about their situation.
        "Well I suppose we'll have to get around this lake somehow, so guess we should just 
start walking." Agumon rubbed his head as he looked around, "But which way?"
        Tai suddenly dashed off, "THIS WAY!!!!!!" Everybody blinked and watched as he dashed 
off.
        Gomamon blinked confused, "Where's he going?" Suddenly he sniffed the air. "Ah ha!!!"
        "Food," said Joe, "You know sometimes I think Tai thinks more with his stomach then he 
does with his head."
        "Hey, lighten up! Besides he's not the only one!" Said Gomamon pointing a clawed paw 
at Agumon who was dashing off after Tai. 
        Joe laughed a little, "I guess your right, besides, maybe we'll find some food that 
we don't have to forage for." The rest of the group nodded eagerly at this and followed after 
Tai and Agumon. About a half mile down the beach they caught up with them at a wooden shack 
located near the edge of the lake. Tai was talking with a short digimon.
        Matt, Sora and Joe immediately recognized it.
        "Oh no.......... not him," Said Matt covering his face with his hand.
        "What, were you maybe expecting Demidevimon?" Said Digitamamon, looking at the yellow 
haired boy from inside his egg like shell. "I may not be as good looking, but I still make a 
better scrambled eggs!"
        Tai pointed over the digimon's shoulder, "Hey he owns a restaurant! Why don't we get 
something to eat!"
        "Trust me, you don't want anything that he makes......." said Matt looking at 
Digitamamon angrily.
        "Don't worry, I've turned over a new shell! You might even say I'm sunnyside up now, 
and to show you my apologies why don't I treat you to a free meal! You'll have to pay for the 
drinks if you want them though, their not included!" Said Digitamamon walking into the 
restaurant.
        Joe turned to Matt, "You think he means it?"
        "Not a chance, lets..........." Joe paused as he saw both Tai and Agumon run into 
the dinner.
        Matt turned around just in time to see Agumon disappear inside, "Sigh....... I guess 
we'll find out. I don't think we'd be able to pull Tai out of a restaurant with a bulldozer."
        Digitamamon nodded to each of the digidestined as they came in handing them a menu 
each and pointing them to a table, "I would suggest the hard boiled eggs, or maybe the egg 
roll. There eggcelent!"
        "I want a nice noodle soup with a large bowl of ice cream on the side!" Said Mimi 
pointing to the menu.
        "I don't know what that is but I'll have one too!" said Palmon next to her.
        Joe leaned forward to Digitamamon, "Uh you don't happen to have anything that I'm not 
allergic to?"
        Sora laughed, "I don't know if such a thing even exist!"
        "I'm sure I can find something." Said Digitamamon causing the digidestineds to laugh.
        "I'll take a burger!"
        "Pizza for me."
        "I want jellybeans!"
        "TK, that's not good for you........ TK and I will have pizza too."
        "I want a salad!"
        Digitamamon nodded as he wrote down the rest of the orders, "We should have your orders 
done in eggactly twenty minutes, if not, the meals free to begin with so no complaining!"
        "Not very polite is he?" said Palmon as she watched the digimon leave.
        "Yeah." Said Matt looking at the door to the kitchen that Digitamamon had just walked 
through. "I think I smell something rotten, and I don't think it's cause he's an egg."
        Ah you two worry too much!" said Tai leaning back in the booth, "Besides, the man's 
giving us free food! He can't be all bad, right?"
        Joe pushed his glasses up on his face, "Sure, until he charges you in digidollars and 
makes you work off a debt in slave labor."
        Mimi sweat dropped, "He better not do that! I'm not willing to do dishes for a living!"
        "Here, here!" said Izzy.
        "Ah, he ain't so tough. If he tries anything he'll have to deal with me! Come on Eggy! 
Put em up! Put em up!" Gomamon hopped up on the table and started pretending to box Digitamamon 
around with his flippers.
        "Yeah, I'm sure he'll run in fear of your boxing skills!" said Tai laughing. Gomamon 
whipped around to give Tai a snappy comeback, but accidentally tipped over one of the glasses 
of water on the table.
        "GOMAMON!!" Said Palmon, standing up in her seat. Her entire head was soaking wet. 
"Man you can be such a bother sometimes!"
        "Oops sorry Palmon!" said Gomamon trying to stifle a giggle with one of his flippers. 
"I didn't mean to get yah all wet, it was, uh.......... Tai's fault!"
        "WHAT?!?!?" Yelled Tai falling over, gripping the top of the table before jumping and 
diving at the digimon. "It's not my fault!"
        "Yeah sure Tai, riiiiiiiiiiiight." Said Gomamon jumping out of the way. Tai missed and 
only succeeded on a tipping over the rest of the water on the table.
        "TAI!!!!!!!" yelled the rest of the group standing up as the water cascaded over the 
edge of the table.
        Sitting up and rubbing his head Tai sweat dropped, "Whoops, my bad."
        "I'm going to go get a towel, Mimi." Said Palmon hopping down from the table.
        "I'll go with you, be right back Kari." Said Gatomon.
        "Okay Gatomon." Said Kari watching as the two of them walked out into the kitchen to 
go ask Digitamamon.
        After a few minutes of silence (and cleaning) Matt suddenly looked up and walked over 
to a widnow.
        Tai looked at him confused for a moment, "What is it?"
        "I think I just heard something moving out there........."

        "..........and see, well," Palmon rubbed the back of her head nervously, "Tai knocked 
over all the glasses trying to get Gomamon......."
        "Those two need to take a cat nap." Said Gatomon looking slightly ticked at the door 
that led back to the dinning area.
        Digitamamon nodded, "Fine by me, I have some towels in the back. Tapirmon, take over 
the kids orders!"
        "Sure thing boss"
        "Now if you'll follow me........" said Digitamamon. He exited through the back door 
and out into back of the restaurant. In typical digiworld fashion there was a large cabinet 
against one of the trees in the woods.
        "I'll get them Gatomon." Said Palmon. Running over to the cabinet she was just trying 
to pull a towel out of the top drawer when she heard Digitamamon say something. Spinning around 
she saw Gatomon, taken by surprise, get knocked out by the digimon's nightmare syndromer. 
"GATOMON!!!"
        Digitamamon turned and laughed, "Your next, maybe I'll turn you into a soup when I'm

        "You won't get me that easy!" said Palmon. "PALMON DIGIVOLVE TO! TOGEMON!!!! TOGEMON

first from Palmon to the giant cactus Togemon and then from that to the pink garbed, green 
haired, fairy digimon, Lillymon.
        "Now we'll see who gets turned into soup! FLOWER CANNON!!!!!!!!!!!!" Yelled out 
Lillymon, the leaves in her wrist extended and lengthen before pulling back to reveal a large 
blaster. The female digimon let loose a blast straight at Digitamamon.
        "NIGHTMARE SYNDROMERRR!!!!!!!!!" Yelled Digitamamon in reply. A small creature that 
looked kinda like a black ghost flew out of the hole in his shell and to Lillymon's surprise, 
completely ate her blast. Within seconds the thing had already reached her and with one of its 
claws slashed outward.
        The top of her dress was immediately torn off revealing a pair of large breasts that

backwards as the restaurant behind her suddenly exploded into flames. Looking back she saw a 
bunch of figures moving around the house that she recognized as scubamon.

Turning to Digitamamon who was standing up now, looking confused at his burning restaurant, 
Gatomon yelled, "LIGHTNING CLAW!!!!" and slashed the digimon unconscious. Making sure the egg 
type digimon wasn't about to get back up she started dragging a now unconscious Lillymon into 
the woods.
