6 of my series and if you are reading this without reading my first five then
you won't understand this. Also
If the site you are reading this on doesn't have the first five of this series

because they are showing them with out my permission. I would like to point out
that if you see * it means
that the person is on a phone but not in the room or a soundeffect that I don't
really know how to write.
Finally since I don't know the name of Cody's grampa I will be using grampa as
his name in the story.
Anyway here is the story.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN THIS IS THE FINAL ROUND BETWEEN THE GRAY FIGHTER AND
THE VIOLET FIGHTER!"
<Calm down Cody you got this far now just do your best.> Cody thought
panting like mad.
"BEGIN!"
Cody moved forward slightly but jumped back when he saw his opponent lift his
staff.
<This is going to be a synch.> The violet fighter thought. <He's way
too jumpy to be a challenge I'm
surprised he made it this far.>
This time the violet fighter made the advance not even hesitating. Ah! Cody
screamed in his mind. "Hiya!"
The violet fighter yelled as he brought his staff down on Cody's head.
"POINT TO VIOLET!"
"Ouch that hurt." Cody said rubbing his head.
"Baby." The violet fighter said turning around.
"READY AND BEGIN!"
This time Cody made the first advance charging at his opponent with full force.
<Foolish baby.> The violet fighter thought preparing for the attack.
"Hiya!" Cody yelled moving his staff towards his opponent's
midsection. Unfortunately the violet fighter
was prepared for just this attack and side stepped so that Cody's back was wide
open for attack.
"Hiya!" The violent fighter yelled hitting Cody's back causing him to
fall to the ground with a thud.
"POINT VIOLET!"
"Ugh." Cody grunted as he tried to get up.
<I won't be beaten!> Cody thought preparing for the next round.
"BEGIN!"
Once again Cody made the first advance charging at his opponent with full
force.
<Again? Well at least I'm going to win but I was hoping for a challenge.>
The violet fighter thought again
preparing for Cody's attack. "Hiya!" Cody yelled attacking his
opponent's midsection. As before the violet
fighter stepped to the side ready to strike Cody's back. "Got you!"
Cody yelled spinning quickly catching his
opponent off guard. "WHAT?" The violet fighter yelled seeing Cody
turn in time hitting him on the side.
"POINT GRAY!"
<He caught me.how did he catch me?> The violet fighter thought watching
Cody return to his spot. <He
won't catch me again!>
"BEGIN!"
This time the violet fighter made the advance running towards Cody at full
force. <Uh oh I better think
fast!> Cody thought seeing this. Right before the violet fighter swiped at
him he fell backwards bringing his
staff up under the violet fighter's arm hitting him in the chest.
"POINT GRAY!"
<I did it I'm tied with him!> Cody thought looking at his opponent stuck
in his position. <Man was I lucky
I fell.> The violet fighter didn't move for a while. <I can't believe I
fell for such an obvious move!> The
violet fighter moved back to his starting position.
"THE NEXT TO SCORE A POINT WILL WIN THE TOURNAMENT READY.," The
announcer yelled
raising his arm.
<I'm ready!> Cody thought prepared for the bell.
<Bring it on little boy!> The violet fighter thought just as impatient.
"That fighter has nothing on you!" Tai yelled.
"Cody we all know you can do it!" Sora shouted.
"C'mon man just one more point!" Matt screamed at the top of his
lungs.
"Go for the gold buddy!" Joe yelled standing up in his seat.
"Go Cody!" Yolei yelled
"Show'em what you're made of!" Ken yelled.
"Let'em know you mean business!" Jun yelled
"You can do it!" TK screamed holding onto his girlfriend.
"Show'em what you learned!" Kari and Davis both yelled in unison.
Kari and Davis quickly looked at each
other and blushed slightly.
<Now you truly are being tested Cody.> Grampa thought watching the scene.
"Don't let me down Cody." DC said under his breath making sure no one
would hear him.
"BEGIN!" The announcer yelled dropping his arm
"HIYA!" Both Cody and the violet fighter yelled striking the other's
staff.
<Wow this is going to be tough.> Cody thought.
<Maybe this child will be a challenge?> The violet fighter thought
bringing back his staff ready to attack
again.
Cody brought down his staff again in the normal way he always did. The violet
fighter blocked this simply by
positioning his staff in front of the attack.
"Man this is one heck of a fight." TK said watching in awe.
Again the staffs collided with each other with the sound of crackling wood.
Each time Cody would attack
The violet fighter would block it perfectly and vise versa.
<This is getting ridiculous to think its taking me this long to win.> The
violet fighter thought.
<I don't know how much longer I can hold up against this
his opponent.
Again Cody tried his usually attack and failed to connect as usually. The actions
of both fighters continued
for well over five minutes causing a dead silence with only the sound of wood
hitting wood as both fighters
started showing signs of fatigue. Every eye was on the two fighters including
the doubles, not one person
dared to blink thinking they might miss the winning strike. Finally the battle
caught up to Cody and his
opponent as they both slouched over using their staffs for support.
<I've never met someone so determined to win.> The violet fighter
thought.
<I'm almost all gone I've got nothing left I don't think I can win.> Cody
thought feeling so tired from all
his previous fights. <I'm sorry Grampa but I can't go on (Hey that's not the
Cody I know!) Huh
(C'mon all we have to do is keep fighting and we'll win!) .He's right I won't
give up, I can't give up, and
I'm not going down without a fight!>
Even with all the pain Cody still stood up trying his best to maintain his
balance.
<All right kid I've got enough left for one more hit!> The violet fighter
thought preparing himself to deliver
the final blow.
As best as Cody could he began to charge forward raising his staff as he
usually did. Finally Cody was in
striking distance and brought his staff down as the violet fighter brought his
up to meet Cody's attack in
order to intercept it. It seemed as if all time froze for everyone watching the
fight the final seconds seemed
like hours complete silence was in the auditorium with the exception of wood
being broken.
"POINT TO GRAY!" The announcer yelled as he saw the Gray fighter's
staff striking the Violet fighter.
"YEA, YEA, YEA, YEA!" The audience screamed as the tournament was
brought to an exciting end.
"THE WINNER OF THE TOURNAMENT IS GRAY!" The announcer yelled being
drowned out by the
roar of the crowd. "NOW THAT THE TOURNAMENT IS OVER WHAT SAY WE MEET THE
CHAMPION AND THE RUNNER UP."
The announcer walked over to where Cody was standing and motion for him to
remove his helmet. Cody
quickly removed his helmet as the crowd's roar died down. "So young man
what's your name and how did
you become such an excellent fighter?" "Oh um my name is Cody Hida
and my Grampa taught me
everything I know." Cody answered nervously since everyone was staring at
him. "Well I must say you are a
very good fighter for someone your age, Now let's meet the runner up what's you
name little guy?" The
announcer asked turning towards the Violet fighter. The fighter removed his
helmet to show a pair of azure
blue eyes light red lips and short red haircut similar to Kari's style. "I
think you mean young lady." The girl
answered in an annoyed tone.
"Woah.Ow!"
tried to say quickly to avoid another strike. "Yeah well you just make
sure no other girl is either." Kari said
angrily.
<Wow she's a real good fighter>. Cody thought as the girl brushed some
hair away from her face.
"My name is Trinity Omatsu and I was taught by my aunt." Trinity
answered in a strong monotone voice.
"Well Trinity you and Cody both gave a incredible effort in that last
fight and I'm sore that both of your
teachers are very proud of you." The announcer said turning back to the
audience as Cody and Trinity
walked back to the locker rooms.
"You were very good." Cody said trying to get a conversation going as
he walked back to the locker room.
"." Trinity remained silent only letting her eyes turn to look at
Cody for an instant.
"I didn't think I'd win at times." Cody said smiling as he and
Trinity walked into the lockers.
"Listen you annoying little pest the only reason you won was because my
staff was defective," Trinity
started say pushing Cody away from her. "And the next time you and I fight
I'm going to make you wish
you never even entered this tournament!"
Cody watched as Trinity turned around and picked up a large bag with what was
obviously another training
staff inside, and walk out of the locker room. <Wow what a girl she reminds
me of Davis and Yolei
combined, but my age.> Cody thought feeling his chest where she had pushed
him.
"Way to go Cody!"
entering through the door alongside his mother and grandfather.
"Cody I am so proud of you." His mother said leaning down to give him
a hug.
"Thanks Mom." Cody said blushing since he was in front of all of his
friends.
"You fought very well Cody, but I don't want you to think that you're
invincible." Grampa said patting
Cody on the shoulder.
"I won't Grampa." Cody said bowing to his teacher.
"Cody Tai and the others said that they were very proud of you, but they
needed to head out for certain
reasons." Kari said as she moved over to where
"Yeah you were incredible Cody." Jun said leaning back on one of the
lockers.
"Gee thanks Jun?" Cody said surprised Jun was at his fight. "Did
"Honey I'm going to take the rest of your equipment out to the car so when
you finish with your friends just
come out ok." Cody's mother said picking up the small bag.
"Ok." Cody said as he watched his mother and grandfather walk out of
the locker room.
"So Jun I didn't know
one of the many benches in locker room.
"Actually I came with TK." Jun said blushing a little.
"Huh?" Cody said being confused.
"Uh could you guys give me and Cody a moment alone for a second?"
"Sure." Ken said as he and Yolei walked out of the room.
"Good luck bro." Jun said dragging TK out.
"Try to break this news to him gently." Kari said making sure to
emphasize the word gently. "Ok."
Once everyone left
broken a sweat. "I don't really know how I should tell you."
"Then just tell me!" Cody said a little upset thinking he wasn't told
because of his age. "Ok, but don't forget
you asked for it."
just widened to the point they could fall out of their sockets. "Cody? You
still in there?"

"Ooook." Cody said completely stunned still by the situation.
"Well I'm glad we talked."

want. "Umm could I ask you something?" Cody said being a humble as
possible. "Sure shoot pal."
said taking his seat once again except this time on a near by chair.
"Uh well I was wondering if you could."
"Could what?"
"Give me some advice?"
"Sure never back down, always give it your all, always remember that,"
"NO! I mean advice on girls." Cody said tentatively.
"Ohhh I get it my bud has a crush."
"Yeah you see theirs this girl but she well I don't know what to do."
"Hmm Let's see well just ask her out."
"I can't just ask this girl out!"
"Well, see if you two like anything similar and then do that thing."
"Ok I'll try."
"Good, oh by the way what I just told you don't tell Izzy, Mimi, Matt,
Joe, and especially not Tai Kari and I
want to tell them ourselves."
"Ok."
Cody and Davis both walked out of the locker room seeing all of their friends
waiting for them outside. Kari
gave
happy." Cody said letting Kari relax.
<I don't know why I was worried Cody always has understood things.> Kari
thought hearing Cody say
good praises.
"Well I'll see you guys I better go it is getting late and I need to rest
from the tournament." Cody said
leaving his friends. "See you tomorrow."
"Well I suppose I should make sure you get home safe." Jun said as
she took TK by the arm.
"Uh sis don't you think maybe your taking it a bit to the extreme
there?"
"Oh no his mom asked me to baby-sit." Jun said clearing up any
questions and then dragging TK out of
sight.
"Well Ken and I are going to head home we'll see you two tomorrow."
Yolei said as she walked alongside
Ken.
"Well looks like we're all alone." Kari said looking around.
"Yep."
at my place should we go to your place?" Kari said softly since it was
late. "How about we first take a short
walk after all there is a full moon out."
Kari said placing her head down on
"Well that was boring." DE said from atop the roof of the building.
"Did anyone get anything out of this?" DT asked annoyed by the night.
"I thought for sure Cody would lose." DC said slumping down on the
ground.
"You underestimated him." DY said smacking him on the back of the
head.
"Ow hey don't do that!" DC yelled angrily.
"Calm down DC don't blow a gasket." DK said
"Yeah Besides," DD said being cut off by a loud beeping coming from his
wrist. "Huh? Yeah what is it?" A
small screen flipped up ward from the contraption revealing a fuzzy image.
"Lord ~bzzt~ DD!" the voice
said. "What is it Demidevimon?" DD asked annoyed by the small
creature. "Some ~bzzt~ one attacked one
~bzzt~ of your ~bzzt~ villages!" Demidevimon said as best he could over
the link. "What!?" DD said
surprised to hear that someone would attack them especially since all the
DigiDestined were here. "We'll
return shortly." DD turned to face his companions as he shut the small
link off. "What's up?" DE asked.
"Something is happening." DD said narrowing his eyes. "So we're
going to stop it!"
It had been nearly a week Kari and Davis had managed to tell Joe and Matt who
took it surprising well
considering TK is his brother without Tai figuring it out. Of coarse they had a
close call when Kari had
Davis over and he caught them playing around on her bed or at least that's what
Kari told him. The truth
was an ambulance would have been needed if Tai had seen Davis in nothing but his
underwear and shirt. But
thanks to a well-timed phone call from Sora that event was avoided.
"I hope Mimi and Izzy arrive soon." Joe said sitting down.
"Being in airports always make me nauseous."
"I thought that was flying?" Yolei asked. "Yeah that to."
Joe said readjusting his glasses for the umpteenth
time. "Well as long as we get to see our friends." Matt said taking a
seat next to Joe. "Yeah it'll be good to
see Izzy again." Cody said calmly. "Hey sorry we're late." Davis
said running up to the group with Kari.
"Where were you two?" Tai asked still not knowing what was going on.
"Hey isn't that their flight number!"
Sora said running up to her boyfriend's side. "Huh oh uh no Izzy said they
were on flight number #158." Tai
said losing his train of thought. <That's another I owe Sora.> Kari
thought thinking back on the previous
times that Sora helped them. "Hey Davis so uh." Ken said looking
around quickly. "When are you and
Kari going to tell him?" Davis flinched at the question since he was still
extremely nervous at how Tai would
react at the idea of him dating (not to mention screwing) his little sister.
"I don't really know." Davis said
under his breath making sure Tai couldn't hear him.
"This is your captain speaking." The intercom sounded. "We'll be
landing soon so please fasten your safety
belts and return all tray tables to their up right and locked positions."
At hearing this Izzy gently rubbed
Mimi's back trying his best to wake her slowly.
"Mmmm." Escaped Mimi's lips as she began to wake. "Ahhh Izzy why
did you wake me it's practically
midnight."
"Actually it's about nine in the morning." Izzy said pointing outside
the window. "And we're about to land."
"Oh boy I bet all of our friends are waiting at the airport!" Mimi
said forgetting her drowsiness. "I was
having this great dream though."
"Yeah what about?" Izzy asked leaning back in his seat.
"I was in the worlds biggest mall and all my credit cards had no
limit." Mimi said as she took out a mirror to
adjust her make-up.
<That figures.> Izzy thought. "Oh by the way Mimi, Kari e-mailed me
last night and told me that she has a
surprise for both of us." Izzy said. "But for some reason she doesn't
want Tai to know and Davis has to be
there."
" I wonder what the surprise is?" Mimi asked while putting on new
eyeliner. "Well what ever it is I'm sure
it'll be interesting."
"ATTENTION FLIGHT 158 IS NOW ARRIVING." A loud voice boomed over the
PA system.
"All right!" Ken said standing up from his seat.
"Well they should be coming out of the plane any moment." Tai said
holding Sora.
"I wonder if Izzy has changed since he and Mimi started dating." Joe
stated getting up.
<I hope Mimi can take my news well.> Kari thought.
"Hey I think I can see Mimi's hair." TK said looking down the hall
that connected to the plane.
"Hiyee!" Mimi yelled running out of the hall.
"Mimi!" Yolei yelled embracing her friend.
"It's so good to see you all again." Mimi said breaking her embrace
with Yolei.
"Uh Mimi not that I'm not glad to see you, but where's Izzy?" Sora
asked.
"Oh he's carrying the bags." Mimi said smiling smugly.
<That's Mimi.> Joe thought.
"Uh little help." Izzy said while pulling what looked like five
hundred pounds of luggage.
Quickly Davis, Matt, and Ken relieved him of the majority of weight.
"Uh Mimi do you think you could carry at least one bag?" Izzy
pleaded.
"I am." Mimi said smugly as she held up her make-up kit.
Izzy's face just faulted at this and picked up the bags that the others didn't
take and began pulling them
towards the exit.
"Uh do you and Mimi have a place to stay?" Kari asked concerned about
her friends.
"Yeah me and Mimi have reservations at the Hizuki Hotel." Izzy said
placing the bags at the curb.
"You mean that five star hotel how could you guys a ford that
place?!" Ken said well knowing how much a
room cost at the hotel.
"Simple Company perks." Mimi said smirking.
"Uh Tai why don't you and I go and get your car for Mimi and Izzy."
Sora said quickly.
"Huh oh yeah sure we'll be right back." Tai said stepping off the
curb with Sora.
"Uh Ken could you take me to the gift shop I want to get something before
we leave." Yolei said tugging at
Ken's arm.
"What? Why?" Ken asked quickly receiving an answer. "Ow! Fine
ok."
"We're going to need more than just Tai's car c'mon Joe." Matt said
knowing what was going on.
"Coming." Joe said stepping off the curb.
"OK what's going on?" Izzy asked quickly to the remaining members.
"Uh Cody do you need to go to the bathroom as bad as I do?" TK asked
quickly.
"Sure." Cody answered nervously.
"Ok now I know that something is going on so you two better tell us what's
going on!" Mimi said nearly
raising her voice in annoyance.
Kari and Davis being the only ones left just looked at each other and shrugged.
"Kari and I are dating." Davis said quickly
"Davis and I are in love." Kari said at the same speed.
"Woah slow down." Mimi said not understanding them.
"Yeah one at a time I couldn't even understand you." Izzy said
surprised how Kari and Davis were acting.
Kari and Davis took a breath and by looking at each other they decided who
would say what they felt.
"Kari and I are a couple like you guys." Davis said with a serious
tone and look.
"Um could you repeat that I think my ears just popped." Mimi said
rubbing her ears. "I could have sworn
that you said that you and Kari are a couple."
"He did." Kari said plainly.
Mimi just looked to Izzy quickly for some kind of explanation since he always
came up with one.
Unfortunately Izzy was already struck with confusion letting only small squeaks
out because of all the pain
in his brain from the overload this information was giving him.
"Listen I know this seems odd since it always looked like TK and I were
going to be a couple, but please try
to understand." Kari said pleading with them.
"Alright Kari, but have you told Tai yet?" Izzy said coming out of
his trance.
"No Kari and I are going to tell him last." Davis said tensing up a
bit at the mention of Tai.
"Well that's smart." Mimi said relaxing also. "Even I would have
told him last."
"I'm glad that you're taking this so well." Kari said relaxing.
"Well Kari if Izzy and I know anything, it's what love feels like."
Mimi said placing one of her arms around
Izzy.
"Thank you." Davis said bowing partially.
Mimi leaned in close to Kari making sure Davis and Izzy wouldn't hear her.
"Oh and Kari if you need any advice on driving men wild just call my cell
phone and I'll give you some tips."
Kari blushed a little at the comment quickly shaking it off as everyone
returned one group after another until
both Matt and Tai pulled in with both their cars.
"Since when did Matt trade in the sports car for a van?" Izzy asked
seeing the rather large vehicle.
"Oh this is just my bands van and since I knew how you both pack I
immediately thought we would need to
be able to carry large bags." Matt said from the driver's seat.
"Alright then we'll put the bags in the van and we all can ride in my car
to the hotel." Tai said taking the
chance to be leader again.
"Hang on Tai." Izzy said looking around. "Your car is to small
for everyone, at least four people would need
to ride with Matt."
"No big deal we'll just split the groups." Tai said stepping out of
the car. "Davis, Cody, Yolei and Ken go
with Matt and everyone else rides with me and Sora."
Davis and Kari took a quick look at each other at the thought of being apart
before agreeing to the riding
idea.
Tai was very happy that he had finally figured out a way to get Davis away from
Kari. He had noticed that
they were spending a lot of time together and he figured that Davis had just
boxed his little sister into a
corner.
"Hey Izzy you know Kari and TK are quite an item nowadays." Tai said
looking back through the rear view
mirror of his car.
"TAI!" Kari yelled both from embarrassment and awkwardness of the
situation.
"Oh c'mon Kari what's the big deal it's Izzy." Tai said looking back
to the road.
"Well Izzy and I kinda guessed that she was in a relationship." Mimi
said winking back at Kari.
"You know Tai just because Kari and TK are a couple now doesn't mean that
they are going to stay one."
Izzy said thinking he should try to lighten the load for Davis and Kari.
"What are you talking about!" Tai said with some obvious anger at the
remark.
"Tai calm down he just means that sometimes your first isn't always your
true love." Mimi said fearing for
her life as Tai swerved the car slightly.
"Like when?!" Tai asked still angry but more in control.
"Well like you and Sora." Mimi quickly said. "Remember if she
stayed with her first she would still be with
Matt."
Tai calmed down greatly when he remembered that day when Sora first really
kissed him and confessed her
love for him.
"Alright, but you haven't seen them kiss." Tai said frankly. "Go
ahead Kari show'em."
Kari turned white and lost her breath at this. "TAI I'M NOT GOING TO KISS
TK!" Kari yelled furiously.
"At least not in front of everyone."
"Kari it's not that different from all those times you did it before only
right now Izzy and Mimi are here."
Tai said not letting Kari's outburst faze him.
"Tai just leave Kari alone it's clear that she's embarrassed." Sora
said doing her best to save Kari.
"Oh c'mon how can a little kiss in front of her friends hurt?" Tai
asked getting a little curious.
"Kari we better do this or else Tai might suspect something, unless of
coarse you want to tell him while he's
driving." TK said making sure the conversation between Sora and Tai
drowned out his voice.
<TK's right I'm sure Davis would understand.>
"Look Tai it's fine we don't need to see," Izzy said being cut of by
what he saw in the rear view mirror.
Mimi, Sora and Izzy all quickly looked back to make sure that they weren't
hallucinating while Joe just
watched from the other end of the seat as Kari and TK were in an excitable
kiss.
<Just think its Jun.> TK thought.
<Just think its Davis.> Kari thought.
"You see." Tai said happily viewing his sister kissing TK. "Now
that's love."
Meanwhile in the large van a similar conversation was going on, but Davis was
the one being grilled.
"So Davis how is Kari?" Ken asked smirking slightly before being
knocked over the head by Yolei.
"Actually I'm kinda curious myself." Matt said listening in on the
conversation.
Everyone turned straight to the driver's seat where Matt was sitting with
raised eyebrows on their faces.
"Hey don't look at me like that she maybe younger than me, but hey what
guy doesn't fantasize about a
young girl." Matt said trying to defend himself from all the stares
especially Davis'.
"Listen you guys what Kari and I do is none of your business." Davis
said protecting Kari's and his privacy.
"Davis if you don't I'll walk out of this van screaming Davis fucked Kari
making sure that Tai hears it."
Yolei said getting that evil glimmer in her eye.
Davis slouched over knowing that he was defeated.
"Alright what do you want to know?" Davis said monotone.
"Let's start at the top of the list." Yolei said taking out a small
legal pad which looked like it had questions
on the first twenty pages. "Number one when you and her first 'did it' did
you pop a cherry?"
This went on for nearly an hour with Davis being forced to tell about his love
life and Kari having to pretend
that she was still in a relationship with TK in front of everyone. Finally
relieving Kari and Davis of their
torture both cars reached the hotel and they were quick to get out.
"Well here we are." Izzy said stepping out of Tai's vehicle.
"The Hizuki Hotel."
"Oh boy this is going to be fun." Mimi said skipping around the
cars.
"Please tell me we won't have to carry the bags all the way up to your
room." Davis said looking up
towards the top of the building.
"No that's what bell hops are for." Mimi said picking up the smallest
bag in the pile. "Well boys grab a bag."
Each DigiDestined took a bag except Kari since Davis volunteered to take hers
trying to do some nice things
in advance for when he decides to tell her about the second degree that he was
given on the car ride. The
entire group walked into the lobby of the hotel and nearly lost their breath by
the mere size of it that is
except for Mimi and Izzy since they were use to this life style. Izzy walked
over to the reception desk and
was followed by the others after they caught their breath.
"May I help you?" The Desk Clerk asked.
"Yes my good man I have a reservation it's under Izumi." Izzy said in
a fake suave voice.
"Ah Mister Izumi yes we have the room already." The man said turning
to the back wall and taking a key
