This is part 5 of my series and if you are reading this without reading my first four then you won’t understand this. Also If the site you are reading this on doesn’t have the first four of this series then please send me an e-mail because they are showing them with out my permission. I would like to point out that if you see * it means that the person is on a phone but not in the room or a soundeffect that I don’t really know how to write. Finally since I don’t know the name of Cody’s grampa I will be using grampa as his name in the story. Anyway here is the story.
TK was starting to come to when he realized he was in his bedroom. “What?” TK said perplexed. “Was that just a dream.” TK quickly looked to see if he was naked and saw that he was wearing a pair of underwear. “Maybe it was.” TK said still trying to understand this. TK quickly looked at his wrists to see no marks and NO HANDCUFFS. “Huh. Well if that was just a dream than that would mean Kari never broke up with me.” TK said his spirit raising slightly. “But if that’s true then why did I have a fantasy about Davis’ sister?” TK decided he should get dressed. As TK approached his dresser a smell of bacon brushed against his nose. “Mmm Mom must be cooking.” TK said with his mouth watering. “I’d better hurry before it gets cold.” TK quickly opened up his dresser and pulled out a blue T-shirt with yellow stripes on the shoulders and light gray shorts. Once he had a pair of socks on he rushed out of his room to the dining room. “Breakfast smells great mom.” TK said sitting down at the table. TK’s mother didn’t answer he only heard another strip of bacon go into the pan with a sizzle. “I had one of the weirdest dreams last night.” TK continued saying. “I dreamt that Kari broke up with me for Davis weird huh.” Still TK’s mother said nothing. “Hey mom you alright?” TK said concerned. “First of all TK I’m NOT your mother!” Jun said as she walked around the corner with a plate of bacon and sausage. “Jun!” TK said surprised to see her. “So TK did anything I might have interest in happen in this dream of yours?” Jun said placing the plate in the middle of the table from behind him so that he could see she was only wearing what she had on last night under the apron she was wearing on top. “I’m beginning to think it wasn’t a dream.” TK said blushing. “Aw that’s so cute.” Jun said sitting across the table from him. “Are you always going to act that way when I do this for you?” “What do you mean?” TK asked baffled by what she said. “Oh didn’t I tell you?” Jun said sarcastically. “Your mom came home,” TK immediately turned white at what she said fearing the worst. “Calm down by then I took care of the scene.” Jun said calmly. “Any way I told her that Kari had broken up with you and that I was comforting you when you passed out.” “So then where is my mom?” TK said letting the explanation stick. “She said something about some big story going to America, but she did ask me if I would baby-sit.” Jun said while eating one of the pieces of bacon. “For about a month.” TK was speechless he was going to be alone for a month with a beautiful girl that was in love with him.
Kari cautiously opened the door to her home trying to make sure she didn’t wake anyone up. Geez I can’t believe I passed out again and I have to sneak into my house at six in the morning. Kari thought as she was closing the door. Kari started creeping towards her bedroom when she heard someone placing a key in the front door. “Yipe!” Kari said under her breath. Immediately Kari sprinted to her room and shut the door as quietly as she could. Man I can’t believe Sora and I slept that long. Tai thought as he carefully closed the front door.
Kari’s heart was beating rapidly to the point that she could feel it in her toes. Slowly moving towards the bunkbeds that she and Tai shared Kari began to remove her clothes to make it look like she had been asleep for hours. Kari raised the covers of the bottom bed so that she could slip into them and still not make a noise. Unfortunately when she moved her other leg it hit the wooden ladder nearly causing her to scream in pain. Kari at this point dove into the bed making sure that she couldn’t be seen from under the covers. Tai had rushed into the room at hearing the loud noise and looked around. “Hmm well at least Kari’s been sleeping soundly.” Tai said in a slanderous tone. Kari stopped holding her breath and let out a small sigh of relief. Tai slowly went towards the ladder and grabbed his pillow from his bunk and threw it as hard as he could at Kari. “Hey!” Kari yelled sitting up. “C’mon Kari you really didn’t think I bought that little act did you?” Tai said in a joking tone. “I was kinda hoping.” Kari said turning away. “But you didn’t have to do that!” “Well that’s what you get for trying to sneak in after your curfew.” Tai said laughing. Kari moved so that her legs were over the bed. “Just wondering how did you know that I didn’t just roll over and bump my leg?” Kari said making sure that the covers didn’t drop below her neck. “Well you never leave a mess like this.” Tai said pointing to the clothes on the ground. “And second you left your digivice on your shorts.” “Oh.” Kari said realizing herself. “Well since you didn’t buy my act could you leave so that I could get dressed?” “Sure by the way Mom and Dad aren’t home they left a note saying that they went on their second honeymoon.” Tai said before he closed the door. Wow that means just Tai and I will be here and if I can get Tai out of the house then Davis and I can. Kari thought as she moved towards her dresser. Kari picked up her digivice and placed it on her dresser and began to pick out a new outfit for the day.
I wonder why Kari tried to sneak in? Tai thought as he sat on the couch facing the TV. Maybe she did something last night she doesn’t want Mom or Dad to know about and if that’s the case then maybe I can use that to my advantage. Kari opened the door to her room and walked out wearing a pink skirt and matching tubetop making sure that it showed off her navel. “Oh no! No sister of mine is going out looking like that!” Tai said surprised that Kari would own let alone wear something like that. “Hey since when do you control what I wear?” Kari said upset that Tai was treating her like a baby. “Since the day you were born.” Tai said standing up. “And I won’t let you out of this house looking like a hooker.” “Fine then I’ll look for something else!” Kari nearly screamed. Kari slammed the door when she reentered her room. What’s gotten into her? Tai thought baffled as to why Kari was acting like this.
The nerve of Tai saying that I looked like a hooker! Kari thought with her mind raging. A light tapping noise brought Kari out of her outraged state of mind. “Huh? Oh Gatomon I completely forgot.” Kari said to herself as she walked to the sliding door. “It’s bout time.” Gatomon said obviously annoyed. “I’m sorry Gatomon I just forgot.” Kari said apologizing. “Uh Kari?” Gatomon said walking into the room. “Yes.” “What are you wearing?” Gatomon said with a raised eyebrow. “Not you to.” Kari said feeling a little outnumbered on her choice of outfits. Kari decided that she should just put on one of her normal pink shirts with the white stripe in the middle. “So how was your time with Chibimon?” Kari asked as she pulled the shirt down her body. “It was good we talked all night and woke up in each others arms at sunrise.” Gatomon said hoping on top of Kari’s vanity table. “Oh no you don’t!” Kari said seeing this. “The last time you used my makeup I had to go buy all new powder and more moose.” “Oh c’mon Kari I’ve been in the Digital World and they don’t get designer products.” Gatomon said with a pouting face. “Fine just don’t use my lipstick ok.” Kari said with a sigh. “Ok.” Gatomon said with her ears perked up.
“Well is this to your liking master.” Kari said in a joking manner when she entered the living room. “Yeah that’s much better.” Tai said taking a quick look at his sister. Kari sat down on the couch watching the TV show Tai had on. “So how was your night with TK?” Tai asked with a smirk on his face. “Uh you know nothing special.” Kari said trying to stay away from that topic. “Oh c’mon everyone knows that you two have gotten extremely close.” Tai said facing his sister. “I mean geez you didn’t come home from his place until around six in the morning.” I better find some way to stop Tai from prying or else Davis is in trouble Kari thought. “Well what about your little night with Sora?” Kari said quickly. “Hmmm.” “Uh well you see um…,” Tai said trying his best to keep from sweating. “Ok I get the picture I don’t have to tell you mine if you don’t tell me yours deal.” “Deal.” Kari said feeling relieved. I’m definitely telling Tai last so that everyone will be able to hold him down. Kari thought as she went back to watching the TV.
“Is something wrong Cody?” Grampa asked. “No Grampa.” Cody answered tiredly from all the training they had been doing. “I think it’s time we took a break.” Grampa said taking off his helmet. Cody walked over to where his Grandfather was resting. “I see you brought Upamon back from the Digital World.” Grampa said picking up his bag. “Yeah there was some trouble in the Digiworld so we brought them to earth to be safe.” Cody said sitting down. “Here liquid yogurt.” Grampa said handing Cody a small pack in a wrapper. “Thank you Grampa.” Cody said taking the food. “Grampa do you think that I could win the tournament?” “Cody you aren’t entering in the tournament to win.” Grampa said taking a gulp of his yogurt. “I’m not?” Cody said turning to face his grampa in surprise. “Of coarse not you are entering in this tournament to see how good your skills are and to learn where you need to improve.” Grampa said once again taking a good gulp of his yogurt. “Something else is troubling you. I can tell so why don’t you just come out and say it.” “Well Grampa all of my friends except Davis has a girlfriend and well.” Cody said opening his packet. “Ah you are wondering when you will find a girl.” Grampa said cutting off Cody. “Well yeah.” Cody said. “Do not worry Cody the right girl is out there and one day you will find her.” Grampa said getting up. “Now back to practice!” Cody sighed and stood up placing his mask on and taking a defensive position. I’m going to do my best at that tournament and I will not let anything else distract me. Cody thought as he moved his training sword forward.
(Quick note it’s 9:00 PM. In America right now.)
Meanwhile in America Izzy is just coming home from work. “Mimi I’m back!” Izzy yelled. “You don’t have to yell you know.” Mimi said stepping into the hall from the dinning room. “I’m glad you’re home sweetie.” Mimi quickly gave him a peck on the cheek leaving a small amount of her lipstick on his cheek. “How was work for you?” Izzy asked placing his briefcase on the floor. “It was kinda slow but hey you have good days and then you have slow days.” Mimi answered in her normal perky voice. “So did you have anything happen in your work?” Mimi asked taking his coat. “Not really it was slow for me to.” Izzy said. “But I did find some interesting information about those so called doubles of our friends.” “Really!” Mimi said surprised. “Do you want to have dinner now or later?” “Well I can e-mail them later and I am kinda hungry.” Izzy said placing his hands over his stomach. “That’s great!” Mimi said jumping slightly. “Cause I made your favorite.”
“So let me get this straight,” DD said looking at DC. “You want to travel to earth so that you can study Cody better.” “Yep besides I’ve already got the perfect place.” DC said reassuring his partners. “You see Cody’s going to be entering in a kendo tournament in a couple of days and.” “And you want to spy on him from there.” DD said cutting him off. “Yeah!” DC said enthusiastically. “Well I think that’s a brilliant idea.” DD said. “You do?” DC said surprised that DD was agreeing with him. “Of coarse I’m sure we all could use a trip to the real world.” DD said conferring with the rest of the Dark minions. “Wait no just,” DC said trying to correct his error. “I could use that time to try and seduce TK or even Davis.” DK said thinking ahead. “Or we could complete our mission and actually kill them!” DE said with anger in his voice. “You need to relax DE or else you’ll have a heart attack.” DY said sarcastically. “I would have to agree with DE we’ve been ignoring our mission.” DT said calmly. “Alright then after this day of study at the tournament we go back and try to destroy them and we don’t hold back ever.” DD said making sure everyone understood what they would do. “Are we agreed?” “Yes.” Everyone except DC said. “Fine we’ll all go.” DC said with a sigh.
Where is she it’s almost eleven o’clock. Davis thought as he stared at his watch. “Excuse me sir are you ready to finish your order yet?” the waiter asked. “Huh? Oh uh no I’m still waiting for someone.” Davis said coming out of his trance. “How late is she?” the waiter asked surprising Davis. “What are you talking about?” Davis said doing his best to try and conceal his feelings. “Listen I’ve seen this a hundred times and then some.” The waiter said sitting down across from Davis. “Don’t let it break your heart.” “Listen I’m just waiting for a good friend of mine and she said she would meet me here!” Davis said angrily at what the waiter was saying. Just then the bell rang that was hanging on top of the restaurant door and a familiar voice caught Davis’ ear. “Kari!” Davis said as he turned around to see the young girl he loved. “Hey Davis am I disturbing anything.” Kari said looking at the waiter sitting across the table. “No actually I was just about to order.” Davis said giving a small I-told-you-so smirk to the waiter. “Great what ever it is put some extra cheese on it.” Kari said as she took the seat the waiter was once sitting in. “So then it’s a large deep dish with extra extra cheese?” the waiter said a little baffled. Kari quickly looked at Davis in amazement that he was going to get the same thing. The waiter watched them for about five more seconds and decided he should leave and only return when the pizza was done. “You ordered extra cheese?” Kari said chuckling a bit. “I like the cheese.” Was all Davis could think of to say. “Wow I never realized how much we actually had in common.” Kari said scratching the back of her head. “Um Kari?” Davis said placing his hand on the table. “What’s the matter Davis is something wrong?” Kari asked seeing the pain in his eyes. “Well I was just wondering how much longer we would have to sneak around like this?” Davis asked. “Let’s see TK and Jun know,” Kari said thinking back to last night. “And thanks to a phone call so do Yolei and Ken,” Davis stated trying to be helpful. “So that just leaves Cody, Mimi, Izzy, Matt, Sora, and Joe.” Kari said finishing the list. “Uh Kari.” Davis said with a little bit of a worried tone in his voice. “Yes.” Kari said. “What about Tai.” Davis said trying his best not to be afraid of that thought becoming a reality. “I decided we should tell him last for two reasons.” Kari said trying her best to calm Davis down. “Ok I already know the first reason is for both of our safety so whats the second?” Davis asked feeling like there was something he didn’t get. Kari didn’t say a single thing she just moved a few strands of hair behind her ear and gave Davis a look of desire. “You’re kidding right?” “Oh c’mon Davis I kinda like the idea of sneaking behind my brothers back.” Kari said moving from where she was sitting to right next to Davis in the booth putting her arm around his. “You know I never figured you would be like this in a relationship.” Davis said smiling. “Well I never really acted like this before you and I got together so maybe it’s your influence.” Kari said playfully flicking his nose. “And to tell the truth I kind of like being a bad girl.” Davis leaned in and softly kissed Kari on the lips making sure that it lasted long enough for both of them. “So when do we tell everyone?” Davis asked softly as he broke the kiss. “Well I figured since Cody is about to go through that tournament we tell him after that.” Kari said placing a hand in his cheek. “And I got an e-mail earlier saying that Mimi and Izzy are going to be visiting soon so I figured when they get here we can tell everyone.” Kari said bringing Davis close again for a kiss and immediately backing off and moving back across the seat to where she was sitting before. Davis didn’t understand why she did this until he heard a familiar voice call his name. “Davis wow imagine seeing you here.” Tai said placing his hand on Davis’ shoulder. “Oh hey Tai, Sora.” Davis said uneasy. “Mind if Sora and I join you?” Tai asked. “Sure we don’t mind do we Davis?” Kari said quickly trying not to seem odd. “Thanks.” Tai said as he began moving into the seat. Kari and Davis moved towards the middle of the booth and bumped into each other causing a moment of both embarrassment and awkwardness. Sora noticed how Davis and Kari were acting as soon as she sat down. Why is Kari with Davis at a place like this? Sora thought to herself. “So why are you two here anyway?” Sora asked anxious to have her question answered. “Uh well…that’s a good question.” Kari said stuttering. “It’s pretty funny actually.” Davis said interrupting her. Kari was surprised to have Davis jump in since the last time he did this he simply blurted out what really did happen. “You see when me and Kari were on that Island,” Oh no Davis don’t Kari screamed in her mind. “I made this promise that if we got off of it then I would buy Kari a pizza of her choice.” Davis said quickly giving Kari a quick wink. “Well that makes some sense.” Tai said excepting Davis answer. “Well what else do think my answer would have been?” Davis said rubbing the back of his head. “I thought you might say it was a date.” Sora said starring at Davis. Davis and Kari quickly stopped smiling and started to sweat at what Sora said. “Oh c’mon Sora you know that Kari and TK are dating.” Tai said playfully punching Sora in the shoulder. “Excuse me but your pizza is served extra extra cheese just like you asked.” The waiter said placing the pizza in the middle of the table. “Geez Kari I knew you liked cheese on your pizza but you usually just get extra cheese.” Tai said giving Kari a quick glance. “You don’t mind if Tai and I have a few slices do you?” Sora asked. “Nah theres more than enough for me and Davis.” Kari said smiling. Sora and Tai reached for a slice and placed it on the plates that where on the table. When Kari reached for a slice she found that Davis was going for the same slice and they bumped hands causing a short moment of uneasiness that made them both blush. Kari quickly checked to see if Tai had noticed and she was glad Tai had closed his eyes while stuffing his slice of pizza down his mouth. Kari unfortunately didn’t notice that Sora was watching them both very carefully taking close notice to how Kari reacted to the situation. “Um Tai I left my purse in your car could you get it for me.” Sora said giving him a quick smile. “Hum oh sur.” Tai said with his mouth full of food. Tai got up and carefully moved out of the booth making sure he didn’t get any food on his clothes. Sora turned to Kari and Davis as soon as she saw the door close behind Tai. “Ok you two spill it!” Sora said taking both Kari and Davis by surprise. “What do you mean Sora?” Kari asked nervously. “Yeah?” Davis said just as nervous as Kari did. “Please you two are flirting so much you’re worse than Tai and me.” Sora said. Sora never really knew how much she and Tai flirted until one day Kari and TK followed them with a video camera without them knowing and showed them the tape after just one day. “Sora I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Kari said doing her best not to sweat. “Kari you once said I was like your older sister so it should be obvious that I can tell that you’re lying.” Sora said narrowing her eyes. Kari looked at Davis but this time he was at a loss for words and just shrugged. “Listen you can tell me I won’t tell your brother.” Sora said leaning in. “We don’t have much time Tai will eventually figure out that my purse is right here.” “Ok but don’t ask questions.” Kari said looking back at Sora. “Davis and I are in love and just to make things perfectly clear TK and I have broken up.” Sora wasn’t expecting this she just froze with her eyes wide. “I’ll explain later ok.” Kari said taking a slice of pizza. Tai slid back into his seat and looked angrily at Sora. “Your purse wasn’t in the car.” Tai said sounding like he was going to explode. “Huh oh sorry hon I’ll make that little trip worth it later ok.” Sora said giving Tai one of her beautiful smiles. “Ok.” Tai said melting at the sight of Sora smiling. “Oh yeah before I forget, Kari, Davis listen tomorrow Cody is going to be in that tournament so I figured we all could go and cheer him on.” Tai said bringing himself back down to earth. “Hey no problem we were planning of going any way.” Kari said absent-mindedly. Tai stared at his sister for a moment at what she had said. “Hey Tai c’mon we better get going we have to go and tell everyone else.” Sora said stepping in seeing how Kari was sweating. “Huh? Oh yeah we better go.” Tai said standing up. “Thanks for the pizza guys.” Once Tai and Sora drove off Kari and Davis let out a huge sigh. “Remind me to thank Sora later for that save.” Kari said looking at Davis with relief. “No problem.” Davis said flashing his smile at her.

The next day at Odaiba High School computer lab a small picture appeared on one of the screens of the computers. Then in a flash of light six figures appeared in the lab. “Mmm so this is the Real World.” DK said looking around. “Hey you kids shouldn’t be here!” A custodian yelled as he entered the computer lab. Quickly each member turned his or her head and gave the custodian a dreadful stare. “*sigh* DE take care of him.” DD said not letting his eyes move. Faster than the janitor could see DE was standing in front of him. “Ah hey how’d you kids do that?” the Janitor said. DE narrowed his eyes at the janitor and as he did this they also began to glow a bright color. Slowly the janitor became disorientated and began to wobble back and forth. “You will not remember us in fact you never even saw us.” DE said slowly in a hypnotic tone. “Yes… master.” The janitor said without any feeling. Each member left the computer lab one by one passing the janitor each smiling his or her own evil smile. DC was the last to leave and shut the door loudly snapping the janitor out of his trance.
“One, two, three…” Cody said exercising in the participants area. “Cody relax you will do fine.” Cody’s mother said. “Yes you should listen to your mother Cody just remember that this isn’t about winning.” Grampa said. “I know Grampa I’m just so nervous.” Cody said stopping in the middle of his exercises. I wonder if this is how Ken and Davis feel right before they play a game of soccer. Cody thought as he looked at the competitors.
“HEY KARI, DAVIS!” TK yelled from the outside of the row. “Huh oh hey TK it’s good to see you.” Kari said sitting up welcoming her friend. “Hey TK.” Davis said not looking at his friend. “Hey Davis it’s alright and in fact I hope you and Kari are happy together.” TK said sitting down. “Really?” Davis said surprised. “Yep.” TK said leaning back in his chair. “Wow I thought you’d want to kill me.” Davis said chuckling a bit. “Well I was able to stop him.” Jun said as she sat down next to TK. “Hey sis I don’t remember telling you about this?” Davis said wondering how his sister was here. “You forgot to mention it but TK didn’t.” Jun said throwing her arms around TK and kissing him on the cheek. “Whoa is everyone getting new lovers or have we stepped into a parallel dimension?” Yolei said sitting down behind everyone. “Yolei it’s good to see you.” Kari said hugging her friend. “Hey Davis I heard the good news about you and Kari from Yolei yesterday.” Ken said. “Hey and I heard from Kari about your good news to.” Davis said shaking his friend’s hand. “Hey could someone explain this whole tournament thing to me I’m new in the group.” Jun said trying her best not to seem too much of a burden. “Sure that’s easy.” Ken said. “There are ten fighters each with a different color Red, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Black, White, Brown, Green, Violet, and Gray which is Cody.” “Oh I get it and they will each fight and by points they will either advance or be eliminated.” Jun said proud of herself for getting it. “Man I can’t wait to see how good Cody is.” Kari said enthusiastic about the event. “Hey where’s Tai and the others?” Davis asked looking around. “Oh they didn’t tell you they’re over there.” Yolei said pointing to the other side of the area. “They couldn’t get any other seats.” “Well that’s good.” Kari said holding on to Davis. Davis smiled at this and leaned his head down and gave her a small kiss on the cheek. “Ooo my brother the lady killer.” Jun said trying to make fun of her younger brother. “GOOD DAY TO YOU ALL THAT HAVE COME TO SEE THE TWENTY THIRD ANNUAL KENDO TOURNAMENT!” The announcer said from the center of the marked area.
“Well Cody that means that we have to leave.” Grampa said handing him his kendo stick. “Thank you Grampa.” Cody said bowing. “Good luck son.” Cody’s mother said kissing him on the forehead. *Gulp* Here goes nothing. Cody thought as he placed his helmet on. Slowly Cody walked out with the rest of the fighters and was nearly blinded by the bright lights and felt as if each flash of a camera was aimed at him. “FIGHTERS PLEASE LISTEN YOU ARE EACH GIVEN THIRTY MINUETS TO FIGHT THE FIRST ONE TO SCORE THREE POINTS IS DECLARED THE WINNER.” The announcer said. “IF YOU WALK OUTSIDE THE CIRCLE THEN YOUR OPPONENT IS AWARDED ONE POINT THERE WILL BE NO HITTING BELOW THE BELT AND YOU ARE TO KEEP FROM SERIOUSLY INJURING YOUR OPPONENT OR ELSE YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.” I can’t see my friends. Cody thought ignoring the announcer. But I know that they’re here.
“Yak… Yak…Yak. Don’t these announcers ever get sick of their own voices.” DC said getting annoyed. “Would you relax and tell us which one is Cody.” DT said placing his arm around DK. “He’s the one in the gray.” DC said. “Hey look there are the rest of them.” DE said pointing towards Davis and the others. “It’s a good thing we stopped to get new clothes.” DY said admiring her new outfit.
“AND NOW LET US BEGIN BY STATING WHO WILL FIGHT WHO. IN THE FIRST FIGHT THE RED FIGHTER WILL FACE THE VIOLET FIGHTER. THEN YELLOW WILL FACE GREEN, BLUE VS. BROWN, WHITE VS. BLACK, AND TO FINISH THE FIRST ROUND ORANGE AGAINST GRAY!”
“Aww Cody isn’t until the last fight.” Yolei said. “That is good.” Grampa said sitting down next to her. “Huh hey shouldn’t you be down there?” Jun asked. “No we aren’t allowed to help our students once the competition starts.” Grampa said. “Ah the first fighters are entering the ring and if I know Cody I know exactly what is running through his mind.”
Ok Cody pay attention you might fight one of these guys. Cody thought as he watched carefully. Slowly the fighters stepped into the circle with their training staffs. “ALL RIGHT FIGHTERS BOW.” The announcer said raising his arm. Both the violet and red fighter bowed in front of both the crowd and each other. “BEGIN!” Quickly the violet fighter took a defensive position and the red fighter did the same. All right time to get this over with. The violet fighter thought. The red fighter dropped his defensive position and went on the offensive moving towards the violet fighter with his staff ready to strike. Once the red fighter was close enough he brought his staff down toward his opponent’s head. The violet fighter quickly reacted by falling backwards and bringing his staff to the red’s side. “POINT TO VIOLET!” The announcer yelled as he saw this. “BOTH FIGHTERS ARE TO RETURN TO THEIR RESPECTIVE AREAS AND BEGIN AGAIN.” The red fighter returned to his spot while kicking some dirt on his way but the violet fighter just stood up brushing some dirt off his pants. “AND BEGIN!” This time the violet fighter didn’t waste any time he immediately started running towards the red fighter with his staff held behind him. The red fighter went into a defensive position as soon as the violet fighter struck stopping the attack. “Hey you’re not bad for a small fighter.” The red fighter said pushing the violet fighter back. “Hiya!” The violet fighter yelled swinging his staff around in a circular motion. This action caught the red fighter off guard as he started to step back from the on coming attack. “RING OUT POINT TO VIOLET!” The announcer yelled. “What?!” The red fighter yelled as he realized where he had stepped. “Humph you’re pretty bad for a big fighter.” The violet fighter said as he turned around and returned to his corner. “BEGIN!” The announcer yelled. This time the red fighter ran straight at the violet fighter swinging his staff preparing for an attack. You’ve got to be kidding. The violet fighter thought. Before the red fighter had a chance to attack the violet fighter sidestepped and tripped him making him fall face first on the ground. “POINT VIOLET!” The announcer yelled as he saw violet pin the red fighter down with his staff. “THE WINNER IS VIOLET!” Slowly the violet fighter stepped out of the ring and to the back with the other fighters.
“Whoa that fighter was really good.” Matt said in amazement. “Yeah I hope Cody can handle fighters like that!” Tai said just as amazed. “I’m sure he can after all he has been training like a mad man.” Joe said confidently. Tai turned his head and noticed Sora looking through binoculars not at the arena, but rather in other areas of the audience as if she was looking for someone. “Hey Sora what are you looking at?” Tai asked. “Huh oh nothing.” Sora said looking at Tai through the binoculars. “Uh I’m just curious Tai but where is Kari and TK and well everyone else?” “Oh well I thought Kari wouldn’t want big brother watching over her so I got these seats instead of the ones over there.” Tai said pointing in the direction of where he knew Kari was sitting. Immediately Sora looked straight over to where Tai pointed with the binoculars trying to find Kari. “By now TK has his arms around Kari and they’re kissing.” Tai said leaning back in his seat. “You don’t know how right you are Tai.” Sora said snickering since it was exactly as Tai said only it was Davis not TK.
“Hello?” Yolei said trying to get the attention of Kari or Davis. “What?” They said in unison. “Well you guys missed a good fight.” Yolei said annoyed that someone was being even more open with their relationship than her. “Besides Grampa will be back any second.” Jun said trying her best to protect her brother. Kari and Davis smiled at each other once again and gave each other a peck on the cheek and turned their attention to the stage.

“THE WINNER IS YELLOW!”
“THE WINNER IS BROWN!”
“THE WINNER IS BLACK!”
“Well Cody’s fight is next.” Ken said to the group. “Yes and now we must give him all the support we can.” Grampa said.
“Alright Cody!” Matt yelled. “You can do it!” Sora yelled finally putting down the binoculars.
“So we finally get to see your original’s skills.” DD said looking at DC. “This had better be good.” DY said “Yeah other wise this was a waste of time!” DK said.
“WELL LADIES AND GENTLEMEN THIS IS THE LAST MATCH FOR THE FIRST ROUND ORANGE AGAINST GRAY!”
Gulp! Here goes nothing. Cody thought as he stepped out from behind the curtain and into the arena.
“You look a little nervous.” The orange fighter said walking up to Cody. “This is my first tournament.” Cody said feeling timid. “Just relax.” He said calming him down. “Just give me your best ok.” “Ok.”
“ALRIGHT FIGHTERS BOW!” The announcer yelled. Cody and the orange fighter bowed to the crowd and each other just like the others. “BEGIN!” The announcer yelled throwing down his arm. Cody quickly took a defensive position ready for his opponent’s attack.
“C’mon Cody!” Kari yelled watching carefully. “Give him everything you’ve got!” Davis yelled following his girlfriend’s example. “Yeah show him what you’re made of!” Ken yelled. “Knock his block off!” Yolei screamed throwing punches at the air. “Go Cody!” TK and Jun yelled together.
Finally now I’ll see what you’ve got. DC thought narrowing his eyes at the scene.
What’s he waiting for. Cody thought as he watched his opponent closely. I know I wouldn’t hesitate. Almost on cue the orange fighter started running towards Cody moving his staff back leaving himself completely unguarded. What’s he doing he’s vulnerable on all sides? Cody thought as he watched this. Suddenly the orange fighter moved close enough to hit Cody and began to turn. “Hiiiiiya!” The orange fighter yelled hitting Cody right in the side without him realizing it. “POINT ORANGE!” The announcer yelled. “BOTH FIGHTERS RETURN TO THEIR ENDS OF THE CIRCLE!” Cody and the orange fighter returned to where they started. “BEGIN!” Cody once again took a defensive position ready for his opponent’s attack. I was careless last time I won’t make that mistake again. Cody thought preparing to attack.
Carefully Cody inched his way across the arena trying to get close enough for an attack. Carefully positioning himself just beyond Cody’s reach the orange fighter moved to Cody’s left and thrust his staff outward towards Cody. “Yikes!” Cody yelled evading the attack. Quickly Cody returned with one of his own attacks towards the orange fighter’s midsection just barely connecting. “POINT TO GRAY!” The announcer yelled seeing this.
“Alright Cody!” Sora yelled. “Two more points and that’s it for this round pal!” Matt yelled.
Cody and the orange fighter returned to their ends of the arena with intentions of victory in their minds. Yes I got a point just two more. Cody thought as he prepared for the bell. “BEGIN!” this time neither Cody nor the orange fighter waited they both went straight for each other. Cody was using quick downward chops that he always used while the orange fighter protected himself from the attack. Poor kid he doesn’t realize that he’s wide open. The orange fighter thought. In one swift motion the orange fighter dodged Cody’s attack and brought his staff up from the ground hitting him in the abdomen. “POINT ORANGE!”
“Damn it DE can’t you help him!” DC yelled behind him. “You want me to help him?” DE asked perplexed. “Of coarse get him to the finals and then let the opponent crush his dream of winning!” DC said upset. “Why not.” DE shrugged. “Hey where’s DK?” DY asked looking around. “She was just here.” DT said. “Great DT go look for her now!” DD said worried that she might jeopardize their plan.
All right Cody no more foul ups got it! Cody thought as he watched his opponent at the other end of the arena. “BEGIN!” Cody didn’t waste anytime preparing for an attack and ran towards his opponent stopping short so that neither one of them could hit the other. Ok Cody just relax and try to get another point. Cody thought moving to the side. Quickly Cody brought his staff up towards his opponent’s side knocking the staff out of his hands and hitting his side.
“Perfect DE.” DC said as he saw this.
“UH POINT TO GRAY!” The announcer yelled unable to believe what just happened.
“Did I just see right?” Ken asked. “Something isn’t right Cody should not have been able to knock the staff out of his opponent’s hands.” Grampa said watching carefully. “Well maybe he was off guard.” Jun said. “That would have to be it.” Davis said. “Kari is something wrong you’re shivering.” “I’m just a little cold that’s all.” Kari said brushing against Davis trying to get warm.
All I need is one point! Cody thought as he prepared for the sound of the announcer. “BEGIN!” This time Cody stood his ground and so did the orange fighter. Slowly they both approached each other with their staffs in offensive positions. Quickly the fighter brought his staff down with Cody blocking it with his own. Cody retaliated as best he could with quick hit towards his opponent’s side, which was easily blocked. Not knowing what else to do Cody stepped back for just a moment and thrust forward to his opponent’s face. The orange fighter caught off guard stepped back and tripped falling backward on the ground. “RING OUT POINT TO GRAY!” The announcer yelled. “YES!” Cody said leaping into the air.
“YEA! YEA! YEA!” The entire crowd yelled excluding the Dark minions. “LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WE ARE GOING TO TAKE A SHORT INTERMISSION AND THEN WE WILL START ROUND TWO OF THE TOURNAMENT!” The announcer said as Cody and the orange fighter returned to the back.
“Kari I’ve got to visit the bathroom so I’ll be right back.” Davis said kissing her cheek. Jun and Yolei watched carefully as they watched Davis leave. “Um Ken honey could you go and get us some more popcorn?” Yolei asked batting her lashes at him. “Uh sure.” Ken said turning to putty. “And could you go with him to get me a box of cracker jacks.” Jun asked doing the same to TK. “Ok.” TK said melting just as easily. Making sure that TK and Ken were gone Jun and Yolei lept down to the seats to the left and right of Kari startling her. “Well spill it!” Yolei said looking at Kari. “What are you,” Kari said being cut off. “You know damn well what we’re talking about!” Jun said loudly. “How’s my brother in the sack!” “I don’t think that’s any of your business!” Kari said getting upset. “Kari you know very well what will happen if you don’t tell us.” Yolei said getting a sly grin across her face. Kari just sighed deeply and dropped her head as she realized she was caught between a rock and a hard place. Where’s a rampaging Digimon when you really need one. Kari thought as she prepared to tell all of her secrets against her will.
“MAN I’ve got to get to the bathroom quick!” Davis said to himself as he ran through the halls of the auditorium. “Ah there he is.” DK said looking around a corner as she spied Davis running into a bathroom.
*Zip* “Ah that feels so much better.” Davis said finally getting some relief from holding it so long. Man this is great TK isn’t sore Jun’s actually got a good guy for a boyfriend and Kari’s in LOVE WITH ME! Davis thought smiling to himself. *Zip* I’d better get back to Kari before Yolei and Jun force her to tell them about our love life. Davis thought as he opened the stall he was in.
“Hey lover boy.” Kari said standing in front of him. “Kari! What are you doing here!” Davis asked surprised she would be in the men’s room. “I’ll give you three guesses,” Kari said walking into the stall with him. “And the first two don’t count.” “Kari I don’t think that this is such a go,” Davis said being cut off as Kari pressed her lips against his. Mmm this is even better then that time on the island. DK thought as she pushed her tongue in his mouth. “Do you still want to go back?” DK asked grinning. Davis didn’t know what to say he could tell something was different, but couldn’t tell what. “What? Is there something on my face?” DK asked feeling a bit odd as to why Davis was staring at her. “You’re not Kari!” Davis said getting angry. “What are you talking about Davis? I’m me and you’re you so,” DK said putting her arms around Davis and bringing him close. “Let’s be us.” “NO you aren’t Kari!” Davis said pushing her away and out of the stall. “Let me guess DK right!” How the hell did he know? DK thought still sitting on the cold floor. DK stood up slowly brushing any dirt off of her clothes. “I’m curious but how could you tell?” DK asked looking straight at Davis. “Two reasons actually. One Kari would be to embarrassed to even think about stepping into the men’s restroom,” Davis said staying calm. “And two Kari kisses differently.” DK only turned around when Davis finished and turned on the sink. “I must say I am impressed Davis.” DK said washing her hands. “You must really love her.” DK turned round with a paper towel drying her hands. “What do you want!” Davis yelled ready to fight if he had to. “Calm down I’m not here to fight you or Kari for that matter.” DK said throwing the paper towel in the trash. “Then why are you here?” Davis asked curious. “Enjoying the show.” DK said smirking. “See ya later lover boy.” Davis didn’t let his eyes wander he never took them off of DK making sure that she wasn’t just waiting for him to let his guard down.
“Hey.” Davis said sitting down at his seat. “Where were you?” Jun said upset. “Why did I miss something?” Davis asked. “Yeah they’re at the last match.” TK said surprised it would take Davis so long. “What were you doing?” Kari asked suspicious of Davis. “Hey what can I say except I didn’t know!” Davis said nervously. If I tell them then they’ll go nuts not to mention Kari will be mad since I nearly screwed her double.
“LADIES AND GENTLEMEN THIS IS THE FINAL FIGHT BETWEEN THE GRAY FIGHTER AND THE VIOLET FIGHTER!”
Calm down Cody you got this far now just do your best. Cody thought panting like mad.
“BEGIN!”
Cody moved forward slightly but jumped back when he saw his opponent lift his staff.
This is going to be a synch. The violet fighter thought. He’s way too jumpy to be a challenge I’m surprised he made it this far.
This time the violet fighter made the advance not even hesitating. Ah! Cody screamed in his mind. “Hiya!” The violet fighter yelled as he brought his staff down on Cody’s head.
“POINT TO VIOLET!”
“Ouch that hurt.” Cody said rubbing his head.
“Baby.” The violet fighter said turning around.
“READY AND BEGIN!”
This time Cody made the first advance charging at his opponent with full force.
Foolish baby. The violet fighter thought preparing for the attack.
“Hiya!” Cody yelled moving his staff towards his opponent’s midsection. Unfortunately the violet fighter was prepared for just this attack and side stepped so that Cody’s back was wide open for attack.
“Hiya!” The violent fighter yelled hitting Cody’s back causing him to fall to the ground with a thud.
“POINT VIOLET!”
“Ugh…” Cody grunted as he tried to get up.
I won’t be beaten! Cody thought preparing for the next round.
“BEGIN!”
Once again Cody made the first advance charging at his opponent with full force.
Again? Well at least I’m going to win but I was hoping for a challenge. The violet fighter thought again preparing for Cody’s attack. “Hiya!” Cody yelled attacking his opponent’s midsection. As before the violet fighter stepped to the side ready to strike Cody’s back. “Got you!” Cody yelled spinning quickly catching his opponent off guard. “WHAT?” The violet fighter yelled seeing Cody turn in time hitting him on the side.
“POINT GRAY!”
He caught me…how did he catch me? The violet fighter thought watching Cody return to his spot. He won’t catch me again!
“BEGIN!”
This time the violet fighter made the advance running towards Cody at full force. Uh oh I better think fast! Cody thought seeing this. Right before the violet fighter swiped at him he fell backwards bringing his staff up under the violet fighter’s arm hitting him in the chest.
“POINT GRAY!”
I did it I’m tied with him! Cody thought looking at his opponent stuck in his position. Man was I lucky I fell. The violet fighter didn’t move for a while. I can’t believe I fell for such an obvious move! The violet fighter moved back to his starting position.
“THE NEXT TO SCORE A POINT WILL WIN THE TOURNAMENT READY…,” The announcer yelled raising his arm.
I’m ready! Cody thought prepared for the bell. Bring it on little boy! The violet fighter thought just as impatient.
“That fighter has nothing on you!” Tai yelled.
“Cody we all know you can do it!” Sora shouted.
“C’mon man just one more point!” Matt screamed at the top of his lungs.
“Go for the gold buddy!” Joe yelled standing up in his seat.
“Go Cody!” Yolei yelled
“Show’em what you’re made of!” Ken yelled.
“Let’em know you mean business!” Jun yelled
“You can do it!” TK screamed holding onto his girlfriend.
“Show’em what you learned!” Kari and Davis both yelled in unison. Kari and Davis quickly looked at each other and blushed slightly.
Now you truly are being tested Cody. Grampa thought watching the scene.
“Don’t let me down Cody.” DC said under his breath making sure no one would hear him.
“BEGIN!” The announcer yelled dropping his arm
